You'll find all of the fretLIVE materials and the TAB video in both Eb standard as Jimi played it (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb or D# G# C# F# A# D#) and in E standard for your convenience, if you don't feel like tuning down just for this song.

Remember to use YOUTUBE’S PLAYBACK SPEED CONTROL to slow down these videos as slow as 25% the original speed! This is an INCREDIBLE tool for learning. Back in the day, musicians had to slow records to half speed, but they would play an entire octave lower in pitch. This is a blessing.

TIPS FOR LEARNING: Hum each phrase and make sure you’ve memorized the way it sounds in your head…the rhythm and the contour of the melody, before attempting to play it. Keep the track open in your browser as you look at the TAB and fretLIVE.

In my opinion, the ultimate goal should be to play Little Wing using many of Jimi’s idea, but to reinterpret them to make it work for you, and play it in your own way!

Thanks for doing this! I feel like I've learned ten different things at once. The most interesting part being how well Jimi knew his instrument. That just should just end any debate on whether he knew theory or not. He mastered his instrument, he was perfectly aware of everything that was going on musically. He could hear with his fingers, he really was a genius.
