HSK EXAM CHANGES in 2021 - What You Need To Know!

The old (current) test guidelines seemed like a joke compared to language proficiency tests for other languages. I'm glad to see the changes.

As a translator and Chinese language teacher, I was very happy that translation is now included in the HSK exams. Because translation is how I assess my learners for their real grasp of what they have learnt. Before testing them, I teach them how to translate. Translation is an important skill to any L2 language learning

I haven't found any internet channels that discuss on the new model.
All the simulation tests in Youtube are in accordance with the 2010 model.
I've heard that the new nodel would be applied in 2023 or 2024, still 2 years from now.
I got Hsk-3 in October 2019.
Last year, 2020, I wanted to participate Hsk-4, the Confucius Institute in Jakarta closed down due to the pandemi.
Open only with appointments.
I have no specidic purpose of taking Hsk.
I just like to learn foreign languages and want ro measure my ability.

As someone who got hsk 5 I can say I don’t feel I can say I’m an advanced speaker, but rather intermediate. These changes should mean that when you are level 7-9 you actually have an advanced level.

Will they release the new vocab lists for each new level?? Currently using the old vocab lists.

This sudden change makes me somewhat nervous, as the difference between the two formats is huge. I'm living in Spain, have studied for a HSK 1 and 2 exam (old format -- 300 words) and want to take it in November (registering for the exam starts in September). Does the new format mean, that I can't
register to take the old exam anymore? Also, as a native Dutch speaker I would prefer to translate in/from Dutch and not in/from English or Spanish. Is that an option in Spain? And where can the words and characters be found for each level? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I saw this video just now and I hope you reply. I have just started an HSK rated course from 北京大学 for HSK 1, and it goes up all the way to HSK 6 and I plan to take it until HSK 6. Is the new HSK 6 still relatively the same as the old system? Will the new levels affect my learning? Should I look for other courses?

Sorry for the number of questions. I just got really surprised when I saw this.
