I don't really understand why western people find eating reindeer so strange or disturbing.

I'm from Norway, and I live a bit South of Molde, and occasionally during the winter, we can see the Northern Lights here, but it's rare.

The video failed to mention that finland has two official languages both swedish and finnish and both of the languages are spoken all over finland however finnish is the the first language of the majority but if you go to western finland you will find places where they don’t speak finnish at all. We also have our own dialect of swedish which differs quite a lot from the swedish one in terms of our pronouncing

Midnight summer you should check in the midsummer. Aurora Borealis is best to check around midwinter, because it shows better against the night sky than daylight.

Where I live in Finland, the sun doesnt stay up all night but it dips a bit below horizon and comes back out. So as a summer tradition we will often go on midnight swimms in the lakes just when its getting to that beautiful sunset colors.

I'm British but moved to Sweden 9 years ago. Although I'm a little further south in Stockholm, there is still a point in the year where the sun is visible almost 24hr. It dips below the horizon for a couple of hours.

Even in the south of Finland, the sun barely goes below the horizon during summer: It might just about do it, but that's not enough to get rid of its light. So it doesn't get dark at all during summer.

The only negative is that it tends to fudge your circadian rhythm and makes sleep harder to achieve.

That was really fun. Cool that he mentioned Nightwish. About the rising land, like they mentioned, the ice of the glaciers was so heavy it had weighed the land down. Now with warmer temps and the glaciers having retreated, the land is rising back up.

The midnight sun screws you up a bit if you're not used to it. Many a time I've thought about heading to the shops and realized it's midnight...

As a Finn who's family moved to Australia when I was 14, I've been able to see the things I took for granted as a child in a new light. The sauna culture, the magical forests, the healthy amazing food, the air quality to name a few. I've apparently retained much of my Finnish "qualities " as I love my alone time and can't do small talk even if my life depended on it lol. Using my Finnish passport showed me how other countries viewed Finns generally in a positive light. The education and health care is obvious. Shit, I'm so homesick now lol.
