I was a 19yo when this aired. I don’t recall Pryor’s Place at all. Interesting to see Ray Parker Jr, hardest working man in show business👍

When this aired, I was 19-20 and I lived alone, no television. I never heard of this. I could cry...Pryor's sincerity as he's talking to the camera, talking to kids...you can see how much he cared. Rest easy Richard 🌹

Ray Parker Jr. doesn't get the recognition, in my opinion, he deserves! Great opening song. Glad this came across my feed!

I was 7 years old when this came out and watched it as a kid. The exact opposite of his blue oriented content towards adults, Richard Pryor put out a positive message every episode for kids while providing quality entertainment. As someone now 47, I find it unfortunate that they don't put out quality shows like this for kids anymore. Rest In Peace, Richard.

I met Richard Pryor in 1980. I was 9 years old. I was so excited just to be near him.

Ray Parker Jr gave my uncle Melvin Ragin aka Wah Wah Watson his famous Gibson L5 guitar that he used his whole career on countless hits from Papa Was A Rolling Stone, Car Wash, Let’s Get It On, Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite and etc!! RIP to one of the greatest rhythm guitarist ever!!!

I remember this as a kid. I was so sad it was canceled. He taught me to be brave and speak up about inappropriate secrets. This show was just as important as sesame street to me.

I remember Fat Albert, The Electric Company (1971-77), and the Children's Television Workshop children's programing when I was a kid back in Brooklyn NY. During the 70's and 80's and living in the projects, I saw things that I never should have at that age (7 to 12 yrs old). Running home after school to watch these shows probably saved my life. I never really got into Pryor's Place due to the fact that The Electric Company was more gritty, had an edge to it, yet educational and fun to watch. To this day I'm so grateful to Mr Pryor (RIP) and to all those educators that saw this as a wonderful tool to reach children of all kinds.
