As a diy'er I like to strip the sheathing with NM sheathing pliers which will strip 12/2 and 14/2 cleanly and then insert it into the box.

Just use NM sheathing stripping pliers. They are safer, quicker and leave a cleaner cut.

I like the klein (any hawkbill blade, as long as it's sharp) hawkbill for stripping back NM cable. But please call an electrician.

the best way ive found is to cut about three inches of the casing however you want, leave it on and pull off however much you need by hand, then cut the three inches of the wire off. takes more time but guarantees you dont hit any casing by accident

great!! now everyone has to pass this information to the local -tv new and the reporter will try to bring awareness to the community, please do it i have plenty of work may be 30 days you have a report to why to remember the new NEC CODE had already change for island or peninsula, because many babies 2-3 yrs old had died or fatal injuries had occurred the question is can you file the report. Make a perpendicular scars on top and on bottom and pull. Doesn't work on older romex

I have never seen someone ever use that first method as like they were stripping bigger thhn lol. Always seen guys use your method or just score with pliers and pull. Romex Jacket is very easily scored and pulled off. Just don’t score to much!

Good tip for a DIYer. Pros will of course use a proper stripper, that is not cost effective for a DIYer.

Use a piece of PVC cut in half for protection.

Normally ppl will slice the romex horizontally n not vertically it’s like you’re cutting your wrist you get shot done vertically horizontally only for attention 😂
