Do you have what it takes to run 50 miles in Mexico's Copper Canyons? This is the Caballo Blanco Ultra-marathon: Running with the Tarahumara in Mexico! This annual event, originated by famed ultra-distance runner Micah True, the Caballo Blanco, lives on in his honor, bringing together Mexico's incredible, indigenous Tarahumara, or Rarámuri, and elite runners from around the world. Named "the Running People," the local Tarahumara play a central part in Christopher McDougall's best-selling book Born To Run... it's the adventure from inside the book we live out, run out, and experience for ourselves in Episode 3 of this 3 part series exploring the Copper Canyons of Mexico!

I noticed that some raramuri natives completed a run from LA to Las Vegas. Reason why I'm here, I would love to run in that location.

I stopped running my knee kept hurting, I read the book born to run, and Scott Jurek book eat and run. I never had issues running in the army. Watching this is motivating to run again but change workout routine like core exercises, hip and glute stretches. No more excuses. I got lucky and met Chris Mcdougall in Santa Cruz for a book meet and greet back in 2016. Love the video

Well done Ryan!

I live in Toronto but Mexico is my second home. We have a house in Gomez Palacio, Durango. I hope to make it to the Copper Canyons some day and participate in the run. Cheers!

I loved the book I have just moved to Australia and probably bought my 8th or 9th copy. I give them away to people who like running or get into it. If it’s not my favourite book it’s definitely in the top 3. I always re read it when I need to fall back in love with running. . .I’d love to get to the Copper Canyons one day please god. .☘️

That airport looks more like an abnormally wide road than an airport.

If you're running for such a long time what happens if you have to poop?

Beautiful Video. If been studying the original migration of people from Asia who came over The Bering Strait. I’m a native Californian. My retirement time has left me bored and finding new ways to entertain myself. 555
I’m raised in The San Francisco Bay Area and The Ohlone Indians have great history here. San Jose, California. I had seen a Genetic Chart of The Migration History and noticed my Grandmothers Heritage of being a Tarahumara Indigenous Peoples. I watched a Food Video and your Video. Out of interest to see the Landscape of where She came from. It was beautiful and fascinating. Full filling to watch your Video. Thank you for taking the time to share this. It’s very important to me. She has passed on. Many years ago, as I’m now 70 years old. She never talked much about Her Home of Chihuahua other than to say it was a difficult life and to Hell with it. She loved California. San Jose and Santa Clara Counties Fertile Valley.
