Hola amigo! We are Greg and Hillary – a husband and wife team that loves traveling, going on adventures, and helping others do the same! ¿Que orgullo puede existir en correr un maratón con un entrenamiento especial y alimentación profesional para deportistas con equipos de ejercicio de primer mundo y tenis de diseñador? Una medalla de oro no tiene el valor que esa tan especial que recibiste por que se trata de saber llegar en la vida, no de ser el primero únicamente.
Felicidades Goyo, corriste junto a supervivientes de un sistema que los olvida y en cada paso que dan, demuestran su fuerza y coraje para seguir adelante.

Greg, you called Edgar 'Ranger buddy'. From an old Ranger and Ranger instructor, you couldn't have been more correct. Because of the stress and danger of Ranger School, every Ranger student has to choose a buddy and must never be separated from him. You taking the lead to begin with, then counting on Edgar at the end, is what teamwork in the most stressful situations is all about. Well done. You have proved you have the heart to be strong when it would have been so easy just to quit.

Hillary, you were there for the duration and you can be sure your support was a big factor in Greg making it. When he was in pain and getting into his head to leave his body behind, I'm sure your image was there floating in the in-between place pulling him forward.

If you want to do another long distance run, you might consider hydrating with pinole like the Rarámuri do. It's refreshing and gives you carbs to carry on. First used it in the high Andes and it was a big help.

I'm proud of you! Back in 2010 I hiked to the bottom on the Grand Canyon and back. I was 61 years old and had a bad knee and in all honesty I probably should not have done it. I remember while hiking back out the Bright Angel Trail, stopping and literally saying out loud "This is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life." I know exactly how you felt. What a great day for you!
