Ngl a lot of the romances in MSA feel really forced and the worst part is that all of them are straight ☹️ We were kinda queerbaited in "I Have Five Minutes to Find My Missing Brother" (not to mention the romance storyline SUCKED in that one), but there can never just be a male and female friendship that doesn't end up romantic unless there's a different romance. Even then, oftentimes the friend ends up being an asshole just for the sake of eliminating them as an option. Friends of the opposite gender can stay friends in real life, and I'd argue that their aversion to opposite-gender friendships is actually harmful to young, impressionable viewers. It's "pushing the straight agenda, " essentially.

I long for the day an MSA story doesn't end up having romance and is just a happy story about a strong friendship between a boy and girl. Or the day an MSA story is romantic but gay. When the houseboy said he wasn't capable of loving, I was PRAYING that he would end up being aromantic and stay friends with the main character, or he would end up being asexual and get with Carson. I would've been happy with either.

Sry bout the rant I just NEEDED to get this off my chest as I have never seen anyone else share the same sentiments before.
