One problem I have with Figma now too is their lacking line up. Goodsmile seems to put most of their focus on Nendoroids and Pop Up Parade figures now. I've noticed from the previous Won Hobby events that there isn't much new Figma reveals compared to the other two. Which sucks bc there's so much anime characters I'd like to see get put into figma, but are more then likely to get made into only a Nendo or Pop Up. So instead we get weird ass choices like a Figma Mona Lisa lmao.

I've always had a soft spot for figma, since the first import figs i ever got were the figma Sword Art Online figures, and they were honestly really good.

It's just sad that the quality and care they use to give their figures started dropping on every release, and worse they keep raising up the price, which makes them not even worth it anymore, specially when you see there are other companies that are doing the same characters at a much affordable price sooo yeah... for me I guess i'll only pick figma if it's a character I really like, and if it has something that i think will be worth the extra pay.

But yeah I totally agree figma needs to do something about their releases.

You’re paying more for less. And with competition like Tamashii Nations and Mafex constantly innovating in more affordable ways, Good Smile is making itself less desirable. It’s like it’s stood still for the past ten years and the only thing to change is the cost.

I don't buy figmas much but I've seen lots of reviews over the years. There was a time when goodsmile seemed to care about figma but latley they've seemed very meh. At least nendoroid's are still pretty solid for the most part and Sh figuarts are just killing it. Waiting for the Bleach greatness

I can say 1 thing for yuta, if be willing to pay extrs for the yuta figma since the face plates look 4x better than the sh figuarts one the sh doesnt look bad but just doesnt look like yuta

I think the single jointed elbows on Giyuu MIGHT be fine. Revoltech known for their insane articulation have single jointed legs, of course that's slightly different but still on the same kind of level

Figma isn't keeping up with SHF's pace, it seems like they are too comfortable by making little to no progress on their articulation department

Expect figma to transition into web exclusives.

SHF, Revoltech, and MAFEX are the kings of the game right now IMO.

Feel the same about figma and was worried about Giyu size wise but on the listing it says he’s as tall as rengoku so now I have hope. I’m too deep into figma for demon slayer to switch lines and buzzmod is even more expensive

I want Aki on my shelf, but not enough to risk a Figma fumble. Especially since... I mean, it's Aki. His design isn't exactly hard to do. I assume Figuarts are working on either Makima or Aki, maybe waiting until season 2 so they can come with more, so... yeah, I'll wait.

Yuta is a pass. For that price? Really? That price is what I'd expect for Rika, and at least that would be filling a bigger need.

shf is literally just figma but better and cheaper its insane. you can get both shf denji and shf csm for less than figma denji/csm. and on its own the shf csm is so much better than figma denji/csm and i would still rather have it even if the figma was cheaper than the shf

Banger video, Good Smile can’t compete with other anime companies lately. They used to be on top, but the way they want to do things is not good enough for todays standards and the quality is getting worse as the prices go up.

i personally think that SHF has FAR outclassed Figma.

I think Figma is seriously falling behind in the value for money department.

The only thing I feel that Figma still has over other figure lines is the build quality. Even though they may not be as articulated as other brands, the joints usually feel more durable.

Aside from that, I think that figma still nails more "moe" and static designs better, but for my dynamic characters, figuarts and the rest are looking to be lore better.

I personally like these three better than their counterparts from other lines (except Aki of course), but it's evident that Goodsmile doesn't give a damn about Figma anymore; they announce fewer figures each day, cut lines short (this is probably the last Demon Slayer figure from them), take ages to release their products on top of constant delays, and most important of all, like you said, they don't step up their game. I feel like they're slowly letting Figma die on purpose.

I honestly dont colect figma's figures. I dont think I have to explain why. But S.H figuarts I love. Cant wait for mah boy Obito

figma sculpts make me feel like they are made smooth brain folks or something, too darn soft, too colorful and bright, not sharp enough, you get it, right?, just look at goblin slayer, it is cool and all but the armor feel like a soft caramel pastry instead of a metal badass piece of metal, figma is gonna die, i do hope so, so other companies take the licences for articulated figures that they have, would love some hellsing stuff from sh figuarts , but damn imagine my dissapointment when i got the production approval of the hellsing articulated figures from goodsmile on my desk, i told my boss inmmediately : they are gonna frick it up, to which he answered : "yeah, i know, sorry, can´t do anything, " then he added : "with how things are over management there i wouldn´t be surprised if they get scrapped either", damn frick this world

Figmas are just my go to. The accessories and the fact they come with stands.
