so Nintendo gave up on two consoles at the same time (stationary and portable) because the production of games for two systems was becoming more and more difficult, but I see that PS and Xbox want to try - considering how rarely they release games for stationary consoles, I don't predict success here

I have a bad feeling that a vita successor could actually be an even bigger failure, the vitas biggest problem was just that sony was focused on the ps4 and developing games for that platform and ended up neglecting the vita, and with games taking more time and money than ever to develop, I fear this problem will only be exasperated

The HD-2D style is amazing. There has to be an adequate rythm of releases, but they really struck gold with this. Fantastic way to bring their old games to a modern audience and give us old fans an excuse to replay them, and even finally get around to some we missed when we were younger (as I did with live a live and many dragon quest games)

I never got the PSP or the Vita, but a new PS handheld i would get right away. The Nintendo Switch has awoken me to the joy of handheld gaming.

If Sony can make a new handheld with a similar footprint to the original Vita, then I’m interested. The issue with a lot of PC handhelds is they are just too bulky for long playtimes and portability isn’t really an option.

Yeah nah I can’t see Sony or Microsoft taking the portable market away from Nintendo any time soon. Sony didn’t really support or stand by the PS Vita when it was alive and kicking which was a real shame because it was an excellent system but if you don’t promote it or support it then it’s definitely going to fail.

Sad they didn’t include Duelist of the Roses, Forbidden Memories, Falsebound Kingdom, and Capsule Coliseum in the YuGiOh collection. Hope it does well so we get those one day.

I don't understand how the game awards happen before the year is over (December 12). You'd think it would be early 2025 so every game from 2024 could have been reviewed properly. Just like Arcane S2 is being nominated and voted for even though it wasn't fully out yet.

It's good that Nintendo is waiting to release the Donkey Kong Land games weekly and not all at once. I can only take so much Donkey Kong at one time.

It doesn't take a genius to know FF6 and Chrono Trigger HD-2D would fly off of shelves.
I would also love Nintendo to use that style with Pokemon and Golden Sun remasters.

Expensive handhelds won't sell well, so as games on it. $300 is the maximum parents are comfortable to spend for their kids. You say for adults ? No, that's a tiny market, steam deck sold 3 millions after all these years, while PS Vita sold 5x times still a failure.
