King Quad 300 4x4 Review. This Atv was designed over 30 years ago and still has the ride quality and ground clearance of a modern 4 wheeler! Mud riding, sand, and trails were no match for the King Quad 300!

I’ve had several of these machines and after selling them I always want another. They’re small and nimble and have a gear for every situation. They definitely aren’t fast but they’re fast enough to have fun on. They were built to last. These and the Honda’s were probably the toughest machines you could buy but the features on the Suzuki were unbeatable. Arctic Cat used this same engine/transaxle and front diff in their 250/300 ATV’s.

I used one of these quads to haul logs off a mountain in Wyoming. They're incredible

My grandfather bought one of these new when I was young with the blue plastics. A lot of good memories on the OG King Quad. I’m looking for one now in decent condition it’s been kinda challenging to find one that’s not beyond saving.

First quad I ever bought is a 2000 model of one of these. Still have it. I later added a 2003 Vinson 500.

Just got one of these overseas! 1997 model that as far as I know has never quit. Even on original carb. Using just as you said, as a work horse for a bunch of projects.

Just bought a 97 with about 600 miles on it for 400 bucks. Cleaned the carb. It started and ran for a bit with starter fluid. Just gotta put it back together. Hope she runs good.

Had mine for over 35 years (1992 model) and tough as nails is not strong enough of a statement! I've hauled just about anything with it, most of the time way way above it's capacity. In super low range it just pulls like there's no tomorrow. This is more of a tractor than an ATV! Use premium quality fully synthetic oil, change it a regular intervals and these will run forever.

I have a 3rd gen 2005 KingQuad 700 and you gotta review one of those. that's really ahead of it's time compared to not only the 2004 but all competition. Polaris and Can am were not on that level yet. Power is insane. the fun is extreme. I love mine without a single regret.

Hi there. I just purchased a 1984 quad runner 300 for $65 cad. Runs starts drives! Had it ripping 80kph on the dirt road by my house. It is pretty beat up but still runs strong. Original wheels on it since 1984 still good. Bike needs brake lever to use the brakes I currently have none. And a battery it runs with the pull cord.

These, the 250 QuadRunner 4x4 (and their Arctic Cat counterparts) and the Fourtrax 300's are the best small ATV's ever built. Go anywhere, do anything, never leave you stranded. My old 93 KQ300 could pull nearly as much as my Traxter and that is saying something for a machine with only 280cc of displacement. Sold mine years ago but always on the lookout for another. Don't really need one but I do miss it. They are still being built and sold new over in Australia and New Zealand, basically the same machine as the facelifted version. Probably the longest production run of any utility ATV out there.

Great bikes. Very smooth suspension. Sorry I let my dad's go, but at least it was to my cousin. David does good work.

2 years ago I've bought just such a quad, the crankshaft was done so the owner gave up on it.

After looking for parts and calling every company I knew here in the Netherlands it seemed like parts were not available or way to expensive.

So I just put it aside till I've found an other engine.

Last week I've found a 400cc engine (also 4x4), everything looks the same on the pictures.. I don't know if it will fit yet because I will receive the engine next week.

Just the info needed. I found a 97 for sale $1600 with a plow. I need some things for colorado mountains to plow and pull things like logs. This seems like a perfect machine for my needs and at a low price, great reliability, all kinds 4x4 select options .

I still have a '92 250 and an '03 250 and wouldn't mind having another one. In my opinion they are the best ATVs made with basically the same design from '87-'02

Just acquired a 1999 300 not as pretty as yours previous owner neglected it. It’s a project but got the motor running with a new OEM carb and wire harness. Currently looking for a good clutch pack and good set of plastics next.
