Stabilitrac Light flashing, check engine light on, rough idle and low performance. Replaced plugs and wires and checked coil-its good. Didn't fix problem. Then cyl 4 misfire-rocker arm replaced by MY mechanic. Truck was fine for 6 days. Then oil sensor and vent valve solenoid went out and Stabilitrac and engine light came on again with rough idle and low performance. Now Chevrolet dealership wants to replace all cyls and tune up. How did it go from Stabilitrac/engine light and those symptoms to needing all lifters replaced when my mechanic diagnosed as only cyl 4 misfire and sensors? No one has torn engine down. I'm so confused and pissed.

if 4-5 lifters has a scratches, is this issue is serious and lifters need to be replaced ? i replaced only lifters' guides. Scratches are visible (mostly on non-afm lifters) but can't feel by fingernails, not so deep I mean

So pull the intake and vlom and unstick the lifter then send the ecm off for the afm delete cost $50.00 total for the whole job if you pulled the head your not thinking straight cause u could have saved tons of headache and work over a simple easy as hell to fix problem

Drain a few qts of oil and add trans fluid to see if that cleans things loosens things first maybe.

In my case, only one rocket arm has oil rising. rest are dry. The oil pump is new. They believe that it was damaged there or that they are the "busted hydraulic lifter"?

My 2015 started missing and stumbling really bad and just pulled the head and found a snapped pushrod 6.2 engine

Can you shut off the active management fuel system on the hybrid without causing problems? Would it pass smog like that?

I have a generic question (or two): What's the interval for the number of misfires being reported per cylinder? Is it a certain number of seconds, or something else? When a bad lifter is found, is it best to go ahead and replace ALL the lifters or just the single bad lifter? Seems like the labor to get down to the lifter level would make replacing them ALL the best way to go, plus if 1 lifter has failed how long before it's mates also start failing? Finally, can a single badly misfiring cylinder cause misfires to be reported on the other cylinders as well? My #4 cylinder is misfiring a lot (but not as badly as what's in your video!) and the other cylinders are occasionally misfiring a little, LT Fuel Trims are at around 12% with no intake leaks whatsoever (installed all new intake gaskets and water-tested for leaks), changed distributor spark plugs and wires to no avail.... about to pull passenger side valve cover and check rocker arms on cylinder #4 now which is why I'm asking these questions.

When you start the engine does the ticking sound start right away? Cause I have a car that has a ticking sound and it apparently is a valve solenoid, and it only ticks after about 30 seconds when you turn the engine on, not right away

What if the rocker works then stops. You can crank the truck and it works for 5 sec or so then oil come threw and it stops. Ever time
