Intel’s 13th generation Raptor Lake processors are upon us, and my i5 13600K and i9 13900K processors have arrived and based on what we have, and what we know, this could be a very interesting fight against the newly released AMD ryzen 7000 series CPUs.

It would be great to get a deeper understanding of how much performance is being purchased going from 13600k to 13700k.

Going from a 9900k to a 13900k will be a nice upgrade 👍

I'm anxious to rebuild but waiting for performance comparison of the 7900x vs 13700KF and a video card 4080 vs RDNA 3 7800. I'm also waiting for the Samsung 990 nvme release, Enermax ATX 3.0 power supply release and AO OLED 32" screen release. My guess is I'll build the PC in February and get the screen in May. Oh and hoping SYBA has a USB C combo 2.5 and 3.5" drive front plate by then.

i7 13700k might be the upgrade i deserve from my i7 8700k. but I keep getting seduced by that 5800X3D !!

They didn’t always give content creators fancy presentations until AMD was kicking there butt the last 2 generations.

I'm still running an i7 4770k and paired it with a RTX 3070 a few months ago. I'm waiting on reviews between the 13700k and AMD's CPUs to see which one I go with.

12600k and 5600x were never close bruh 12600k is nearly 35% faster thn 5600x in multicore performance.

Hi Andy, question, would you buy an i7 13700 chip to put into a Z690 ddr4 ram board . Only have a MSI RTX3060 graphics card.

I’m currently debating between the 7600x and 13600k; just waiting for benchmarks to be released to make up my mind.

It is to much for me coming from AM4, both ways would be a total build and I like the smaller 65 watt cpu's myself, dropping the 5700x in for now with newegg selling them for $199 last week.

3 days before Ryzen 7000 series launch. Cinebench, blender, all sort of benchmarks on YouTube.

3 days before 13th gen launch. We still only have open box video and some game fps videos. No multi-thread benchmark.

This tells you what you need to know. Those creators receiving 13th gen probably were told not to show benchmarks until second day of launch.

I'm so close to grab a decent discounted Z690 DDR5 mobo and later get a I5 13600k. I just haven't decided fully yet because there is no performance reviews. I will be upgrading from an I7 3770k which should be HUGE.

I can't see there being a *huge* difference between the 13600K and 13700K model. Granted there are higher clocks, more cache and a bigger power limit, but I'm willing to bet there is going to be around, below or at MOST a 10% difference between those chips!

I just bought a new rig with an RTX 3090 and Intel 12900k and a Samsung G7 1440p 265hz monitor. Not waiting for scalpers to pass, more than enough for 1440p gaming. I should say I bought the parts, eff pre builds

Just wait for Meteorlake at mid or late 2023. Its pass for me on Alderlake and this Raptorlake for now.
