Stolas and Stella's HIDDEN Portraits from Helluva Boss S2 E12 Sinsmas Revealed!

Did you notice this in Helluva Boss?

So during the season 2 finale sinsmas we get a scene where octavia runs through the house and there’s various portraits. It’s a little hard to tell what all of them show, however the full versions were revealed yesterday and its pretty interesting. I’ll break it down.

These were created by rae. We see the moment octavia was born. In her baby form she resembles stolas when he was young. Octavia has a little star pin, while her father had a pin of his demonic emblem.

There’s some more photos of the pair together. The pair having fun in a garden.

And last but not least we have 3 portraits of stella stolas and octavia together.

In the first one octavia and stolas are laughing while stella looks off to the side, perhaps meaning she doesn’t want to be there.

In the second one octavia is a little older. Stolas looks a little uncomfortable while stella is somewhat smiling.

And lastly it’s a photo of stolas and stella together. Stolas clearly looks nervous, while stella for the first time is genuinely smiling, taking the opportunity to gloat infront of her husband.

Overall i think these are awesome. It’s pretty telling that in none of the photos stella holds octavia. Stolas appears to have eye bags in some portraits, and him and stella clearly forced smiles in a few.

Love how this shows that you can easily mistake a blatantly toxic relationship for a healthy one if you're an outsider looking in and don't know what signs to look for. From Stella almost never smiling to Stolas forcing his around her, it'd be easy for someone to mistake them as loving but camera shy, especially someone like Octavia who's younger and has them as her only role models.

It’s kinda sad to think that Octavia thought Stolas needed happy pills because of her but in reality it was because of Stella and these photos prove it

In the portraits Stolas has an actual genuine smile whenever he's holding Octavia. And you can see the love in his smile, he was genuinely happy with his daughter. And every time he sees her, he has huge bright smile on his face

Stella having to force a smile during her picture with a happy stolas and octavia but absolutely RELISHING taking a solo picture with stolas because she knows he hates it is such a subtle clue that this psycho really feeds off his pain

You actually can see Stolas start to crack as the photos go on. He is genuinely happy with Via but being alone with Stella is uncomfortable. Probably as Via got older and more independent, Stellas abuse increased. We dont know when Stolas began taking anti-depressant, but at latest it was likely as Via got older and at earliest before she was born. Based on these photos I am thinking when she was a teen.

I do notice a slight smirk on Stella's face in the first one. Maybe Octavia's n' Stolas's joy in the moment were contagious even to someone as cold-hearted as her, if only for a brief moment in their lives.

I cant help but wonder if in later episodes Octavia will experience what her father went through, only, her mother and uncle conspire to make her marry so they can have their hands on even more power. Octavia not wanting tk be in an arranged marriage, tries to reason with her mom but then her mom lets it slip "why else do you think I married your father? Cause i wanted to?" Shed realize that her father had been shielding her from the demands of the upper class. The thought crossed my mind when we first see the pride picture and its revealed Octavia is Ace. She was born to be an heir, but if she doesnt marry and continue on their bloodline then society might have an issue with it...

Didn't anyone notice that Stolas got the book when he was 5 while Octavia was 17 and didn't get the book yet?

It’s hard to witness Stolas being the true parent in for Octavia that he would do anything for his daughter 🥲 As he would make a excellent single father out there

Baby Octavia is smiling and her environment is more bright and happy but Baby Stolas is sad and his environment is darker and colder 😭

I love the fact that when they’re babies they’re actually very similar to actual newborn owls which I find adorable

One thing Id like to point out is the fact they werent "born", they both hatched. Its confirmed because in The Circus there is a portrait of Stolas as an egg.

I don’t know about anyone else but in the first portrait it looks like Stella is begrudgingly enjoying it, she kind of looks like she has a little smile but is looking away so no one can see

Octavia luckily is a rather smart one. First she gets over the shock of her father being kicked out of the goetia, she'll likely get the clues that Stolas was always genuinely happy with her and that Stella was the actual joy vampire.

I wonder if Stella struggled with Post Partum, it would explain the younger Octavia photo where she’s clearly uncomfortable. She probably didn’t see herself as a mother.

We need a Stella backstory.

I really agree that stolas is a great father and a better parent that Stella will ever be unlike her, she doesn’t really care about her own child, either
I feel so bad for the poor dude stolas deserved better than suffering Stella’s nonsense

I knew it. I knew Stella didn't care about Octavia at all. Hope in new season Octavia will see her mother true color.
