In this video I will give, explain, and show examples of the basic 5 rules of solving linear equations:
1) eliminate fractions, decimals, and parenthesis,
2) move all terms with the variable to the left side,
3) move all terms without the variable to the right side,
4) combine like terms,
5) divide both sides of the equation by the numerical coefficient of the variable.

do we always use multiplication to remove parenthesis or other operations as well?
