My Dog Walking E.D.C. (Every Day Carry)

Показать описание
I walk the dog twice a day (most days) so spend a lot of time in the woods with plenty of opportunity for the dog or myself to get injured. My dog walking E.D.C. reflects this.

Prong Collars for dogs are very controversial, check out Professional Dog Trainer Robert Cabral's You Tube channel regarding prong collars. It is only a limited tool to train the dog and keep it safe, it is not a punishment tool and should be used correctly and sparingly.

Hi Grasshopper, long time no see you! I haven't been watching 'survival' videos for a while. You are next on my list to catch up with! Making coffee on the beach is where I left off.

I've carried a survival kit - edc - just about every day, for over fifty-five years! I've carried the same compass for all that time. I have never really used it! Same with a little sewing kit, never used it. When I was a boy I carried the kit (actually I call it a tool kit) wrapped up in an old cloth, like a tool-roll, held together with an old toeclip strap, in my school bag. Then in a fishing bag (1973), which is basically what I still carry. What surprises me is I carry the same groups of items as I first carried: navigation. contact. signalling. first aid. comfort (fleece, snacks, water etc). tools like a penknife.

Anyway, enjoyed that episode. All the very best to you and yours 👍 👍 👍 🍻

Excellent show and tell mate, other than dog walking equipment I carry a very similar outfit, your choices are probably based on the versatility and lightness of the items for the same reasons as I chose mine.
I do like those little flat cheap plastic button torches as I can hold them between my teeth, so I have both hands free without having to lump a full size head torch around.
A shemagh is a massively under rated piece of kit! Totally agree with you!
I possible it’s good to get hold of the old style disposable hand warmers as their ingredients has other uses too 😁, although they are harder to find these days. Have a great weekend brother and keep on keeping 👍🏽👍🏽👌🏽😎

Prong collars are handy and gentle when you know how to use them correctly. I have used them in the past for as your say, power steering. Especially large strong dogs. Groomed a lab last Wednesday and there was NO control on this dog. A prong would have been a good option for him. I have a small set of binoculars in my suv. I don't usually carry alot every day. Depending on what I'm doing or where I'm going. My phone is always with me. I don't even carry a purse like most women do! Look up Vet Wrap. Its a sticky self adhering wrap that works well. Can be useful for dogs or human.
