3 Pro Level Lymph Tips

1. Taking a few minutes to set your intention prior to any lymph work is going to yield better results. Why? Physiology. 😎 Your lymphatic system has no pump BUT the smooth muscles that line the vessels are governed by your nervous system. Slow down with some breathing and those lil’ muscles relax, and the vessels dilate to increase flow! How cool is that?!

2. Lymph work is SUBTLE so if you’re new to this work start by practicing on your head and neck. It’s by far the most noticeable place to feel lymph moving. Feel and listen for changes in ear pressure, nasal drip/drainage, increases saliva production, and/or tingling in your hands, feet, or the crown of your head! Any of these is an indication that you are doing it R I G H T.

3. Don’t rush good work! Taking your time will yield better results. I’m all for the quickie “Get it in when you can fit it in” lymph check, but those longer lymphatic sessions may be better suited for the end of the day. I do a lotttt of lymph work as I’m falling asleep and it is SO restorative. I used to try and fit it in before I started by day but as a perpetually late + busy person…it wasn’t really doing it for me.
