FACT: Andre loved being in The Princess Bride more than anything else in his life because the cast and crew treated him with respect and like any other human ❤️🥺

He's one of the wonders of the world not because of his size but because of how wonderfully gentle he was

I remember him. Not even his generous acting could disguise his incredibly gentle, soft spoken, noble, honest nature. I always had the feeling he was brought up by a mother or aunt who loved him dearly, and vice versa, and who taught him that treating others well was paramount in life. A dear, lovely man.

I love André, the giant, one of my favorite WWE wrestlers of all time. At least we’ll still remember him through the André, the giant memorial battle royal every year.

If he were still alive, and if he was still struggling, I would have given him a big hug and actually be his friend. 🤗

The pain that he went through is just heart breaking. Everyone deserves respect, Love and care despite their status, appearance etc

A couple of thing. One... he had giantism and the doctor said he wouldn't see 40. Two... the drinking was due to doctors not knowing what to prescribe a person of his size for pain medication. And three... as a larger guy (I was 5'11" at 10.) I always look up to him. I felt a kindred spirit died when I heard about it. He was in pain and was a person who had said many time he just wanted to make everyone happy.

My grandma worked at a hotel where wrestlers used to stay lots. He needed to of the biggest beds put together. Poor guy. Can't imagine what he was dealing with.

This really just shows how cruel people are when you are different, It's really sad to see or hear about people who go through this.

As someone who watches WWE, I feel bad for Andre bro. He was one of the largest and kindest (offscreen) giant I've ever seen. RIP
