China prepared to 'fight to the end' over US tariffs

China’s government says it will 'fight to the end' if the US continues to escalate the trade war, after Donald Trump threatened huge additional tariffs in response to Beijing's retaliatory measures.

A spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry said: 'Chinese people do not provoke trouble, nor are they afraid of it. Pressure, threats, and blackmail are not the right ways to deal with China. China will surely take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard its legitimate rights and interests'
