China 'preparing' for potential major war in 'second half of this decade'

Australia should be concerned as the Chinese are "bulking up" and preparing for the possibility of a major war occurring in the second half of this decade, says the ASPI's Dr Malcolm Davis.

"We need to essentially respond to that and start preparing for that potential risk - and that includes the sorts of actions we've been taking recently such as the AUKUS agreement," Dr Davis told Sky News Australia.

Dr Davis said the US is starting to concentrate its forces in the Indo-Pacific region in anticipation of a major conflict.

He said the steps it has been taking are aimed at deterring the Chinese from launching any military campaign against Taiwan.

"But if that deterrence fails, then be prepared to fight and defend against a Chinese move in the Indo-Pacific that could occur in the second half of this decade."

While the West sits around arguing about whether boys can use girls toilets China keeps getting stronger and closer to making its move.

Not a problem, I am sure here in Australia, we could build our own ships with steel from China, because we do not make it anymore, We can supply them with fuel from the refineries we do not have anymore. We can mobilise the army with all types of machinery we do not make anymore, like cars. Dont tell me this was not planned a long time ago.

Crippling energy, industry and economy with net zero and using proper pronouns is far more important than preparing for war.

"China preparing *to start* a major war in the second half of this decade" would probably be a better headline.

Perhaps Australia should rethink disarming civilians.

Let's stick with what's important: 1: what pronouns and bathrooms to use.
2: villianizing the un-vaxxed.
3: skin colors, religions, and orientations.
4: why we haven't gotten our packages from China.

Don't need to worry! The US is the greatest ally Australia has - By the time this conflict breaks out, their military will be 100% fēminīst and they're going to use all the euphemisms in the book to defend themselves and guilt-trip the Chinese military into surrender 😆

While American politicians focus on important issues such as transgender people in the military and critical race theory, China has been developing military capabilities that will soon dwarf those of the United States. Don't forget, China has 1.4 billion people. The Chinese (as test scores will testify to) are among the world's most intelligent people. Thanks to our Western universities, these Chinese have been highly trained in technical fields such as mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, and so forth. But don't worry, during that time our universities have been indoctrinating American students in the finer points of critical race theory. While China has been preparing its military, our military leaders, such as General Mark Milley, is focusing on White supremacists and the proper use of pronouns. And I'm sure the crew working on the USNS Harvey Milk will be proud their ship isn't named after a sailor who died fighting for his country but a gay rights leader. And, of course, we have our "woke" President Joe Biden. The most inept President in the history of our Republic. Even China says, "The current U.S. government is the most incapable and degenerate in the country's history...." The "degenerate" is a reference to our "woke" obsession. When a future historian writes an epitaph for Western Civilization, he will say, "They became 'woke.'"

Australia should have started to prepare years ago to face off the China threat. Like 1941, we are under-prepared, our armed forces are tiny in number, and we are economically dependent on China for much of our foreign trade. The worse of all possible worlds.

Don't worry Australia, we have a "woke" military just like America. So if China arrives on our doorstep with guns blazing, we'll just throw flowers at them.
