thanks again for a great review and as you know there's not a lot of reviews on the fiio x5 on utube. ive just purchased a fiio a5 to go with the x5 which im getting next month as i only listen to music on the go and like it loud with my hd650s. your review and bad guy good audio made my mind up on getting the x5 as i was going to get the chord mojo and ak100 but the ui is much better on the x5. i cant wait to play the pale fountains 2 albums and working week first album there's lots of brass on theses flac albums. i manly listen to uk indie bands from the 80s to the present i also have a soft spot for the smashing pumpkins placbo the pixes and Interpol. keep the reviews coming thanks.

Thanks for the review. Have you ever had the chance to listen to a Cowon J3? That's what I own, and I'm wondering if an upgrade to this Fiio is worth it. I currently use Etymotic HF5's, but just ordered some Hifiman 400i that will be arriving this Saturday.

You may have recieved the version for China market of the x5 gen 3. The international version has direct access to play store to download whatever you want from there.

Any idea what iem's you would recommend for this device, I was thinking RHA T20s but am completely open to any recommendations (i have a price tag of around $200). I listen to all music, classical, metal, rock, hiphop. Everything, I'm a violinist and perform all kinds of music so my interests are very broad. Thanks again.

There's 32 gb of internal, I haven't put any SD cards in mine. I also did not have to ever use the Fiio market, just Google Play after I logged in to be able to download TIDAL.

How well does it work with Tidal offline? Will it handle let's say 200GB of Tidal music? Is there any better device for this task I could have a look on?

P.S. after your reviev I got aune x1s (love it to bits.. so neutral ..just you can listen to it for ages without geting tired) i have fidelio X2 to go along with it (nice combo).

I got for my Partner Hifiman HE-350 and smls sapVI(amp), but crap thing is power brick of sap just drags power all the time etc (poor design), but for price amazing.

So i am after some 100dolar amp/dac combo for my Partner.

I was thinking about Fiio K5... what do you think?

I just got this x5 iii Gen., Yes install or downloading app is a pain but it works with Poweramp, Spotify, Flipboard, and You can watch YouTube, YES YouTube, you can watch decent video quality on this, and I use Darkify app for wallpaper, to use dark wallpaper, I haven't use wired headphones on this yet and a separate pre amp yet, cz I just got this today, so far so good with my Bluetooth Jabra 65T, sounded very very good

hey, got an audio update. got my ohm walsh 2xo's hooked up. needed a few things to get 'um in order. oh their in gloss black too. what happened was saw the z review and then looked on my local craigs list. great price and the guy threw in two extra pairs of bipolar surround speakers. one an NHT. another maybe Atlantic. and a onkyo 7.2 reciever with a damaged hdmi board. have you seen the ohm speakers. omni directional and 2 way. well them are different and vintage. the design lets you hear the left speaker while you are on the right side of the room. check them out, very unique. have not owned floor standers for a long time so nothin to compare them too. the bass is very rumbly. they are designed for reflections. so their is no sweet spot. only wish the drivers were more modern and accessible. they are in a like welded hat. actually dropped it twice when had it unscrewed. they have a upgrade available for like a thousand. tell me what you think. theres not alot out there

Dude, you're reviewing a product, not your looks. Put the focus on it, not on you. I don't need to see you. I only need to hear you, but I really need to see the product. You need to review your review process. This is the first video I've seen of yours, but I won't stay to the end of it, and I don't care about any others.
