The dx200 is a reference audio player. If I’m right it is supposed to be flat sounding. Just like a reference headphone. Good review though.

Hey I got a question, so for the X5 3rd gen, would it work with the MDR-Z7 headphones in balanced mode or is it a 3.5 and 2.5 for balanced mode? thanks.

Try the Cowon Plenue M2 with a RSA Blackbird 71R-B balanced amp and can drive almost any cans on market. Love how you tell like you see it and hear it.

You are still off the chain! I had already preordered the X5 iii and so glad I made that decision over my second choice AK70. I'm sure the latter is great too, but less Android features.

It's not a question of volume for me (I listen at relatively low volumes), but I do want good detail, separation, low-end presence, etc.
Will the x5iii be enough?

Hi. At this time I am using the Ipod 5.5 (Wolfson) really like the sound I get, the sound stage is great while using Westone W40 IEMs.

Thing is times change and looking for same sound as the 5.5...but better, I like dynamic range and a wide sound stage, just wonder how you rank players in the $200 to $300 range, would this one be the best?

Also whats hiss like, with some IEMS you can hear hiss on some players, how is this one?
