good to see you bud! I bought the bowers & wilkins p7 yesterday. OMG these just sound superb, I would love to listen to the x5 3rd gen with these! Possibly sell the mojo and bits to pay for a red x5 3 maybe!

Just out of curiosity, is the squeaking sound a pet? If so it sounds like a pretty unique animal! (Edit: I commented this halfway through the video, haha didn't see your dog later on in the video... is she/he making the sounds?)

And to answer your question about what songs to test headphones/other audio products with, here's a short list (in no particular order) :
a) Evil in the Night - Adam Lambert (for testing vocal detail reproduction)
b) Summertime Sadness - Lana Del Rey (for testing imaging through how clearly the vocal layers separate from each other)
c) Bubbles - Yosi Horikawa (imaging and resolution testing)
d) Interlude - Yosi Horikawa (starting around 30 seconds in, the REALLY DEEP bass is great for testing sub-bass)
e) No Cars Go - Maxence Cyrin (part of my "how-natural-is-the-midrange" testing, because I used to play piano, so I know very well how a piano should sound to me)
f) Palace - Unlike Pluto (part of my treble testing, both regarding treble detail and treble harshness/fatigue, specifically during the "drop", also part of my testing for if I can enjoy electronic music on a pair of headphones/speakers)
g) Stop and Stare - OneRepublic (imaging testing. fun mini-story: listening to this song on the T70p taught me how a drum set is laid out. that was the first time I truly experienced INSANE imaging)
h) Synchronize - Hellberg (I suppose you could say this one is my "GO TO" song, because I find it wonderful for getting a first impression for midrange-naturalness, midrange detail, bass performance, and treble detail and harshness)
i) Fireflies - Owl City (Said the Sky Remix) (this song is for putting away all the technical evaluation of bass and midrange and treble, and just sitting back, closing my eyes, and experiencing how much I can enjoy the beauty of music)

i like your reviews i like manly uk indie bands from the 80s to the present day i see a lot of reviewer's listen to total crap just because of the drums or guitars sound good on the track instead of enjoying bands i don't listen to music at home but on the go or walking the dog i have a big collection of flac on portable rigs.
