Blue Jackets prepare to honor Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau in home opener

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Columbus Blue Jackets are preparing for an emotional home opener as they plan to honor their late star, Johnny Gaudreau, and his brother, Matthew.

Both were tragically killed by an alleged drunk driver in August while cycling in their hometown in New Jersey.

Guy Gaudreau, Johnny's father, joined the team on the ice today for their morning skate, marking a poignant moment ahead of the game.
