“All of a sudden, the whole area of the country has been invaded. 120,000 people had to be evacuated. They all talk. It is another chink in the dam.”

Putin is being “undermined” by his oligarchs as Ukraine “increases the tempo of effective strikes”, says former air vice-marshal and military analyst Sean Bell.

Western financing into the Ukrainian arms industry is starting to pay dividends.

It’s amazing how fast their tech has evolved over the last ten months.

Of course the Kursk incursion has worked.
How many men have russia gathered there to meet the threat?
Numbers vary between 30-60.000.
Each of those men are one man that can not be sent to the Donbass.
Same goes for every tank, artilleri piece, truck. Etc, etc.
This also means that the limited troop regeneration that russia has to work with, must now be divided between these two fronts.
Same goes for fuel, ammo, food.
This is not an easy thing for russian logistics, that so heavily relies on an already catastrophically pushed, under maintained railway.
To just stare at what is physically redistributed from one place to another gives a false impression of reality.

As a Russian, now Russia has lost even _more_ of Kursk. Seems Bunker Grandfather's "Kyiv in three days" did not work out so well after alls😒

One thing about Kursk that nobody mentions is that some of the manpower and equipment used in invasion is offset by the manpower and equipment that is no longer to protect the border between Ukraine and occupied Russian territory. Also, if Ukraine takes all the land between Ukraine and he Seine River, the new border between Russia and Ukraine may be easier to defend than the existing border.

What. Is this guy. On about. At NO point did the West "open the cupboards" and "tell Ukraine they can have whatever they wanted."

The loss of tens of thousands of tons of Russian munitions in the last few days is likely to make quite a change, especially in advance of the wet season.

Shaun Bell has always been negative about Ukraine's chances.

I watched Zanders Puck Nielsen’s channel today. He was saying that Russia’s war economy isn’t sustainable. They should be running out of old equipment to refurbish next year and then they will have to rely on new stuff which is much harder to produce. They keep increasing the incentives for men to join the army which means short staffed factories have to keep increasing pay to retain people, this is driving up inflation! He was saying that the West shouldn’t lose heart!

European supplies still important and relatively consistant. Especially from those countries threatened by Russia making any gains. Impressive destruction of russian weapon stores which must make an impact on logistical supply. Do ukraine really need other missile help?
At the moment they seem to have an answer, small it may be but effective nonetheless.

If times are tough, it's time for Britain's to roll up the sleeves and get on with the economy not give in to Putin, and put the whole world's future security on the line, including ours.

How easy it is, to blithely accept surrendering Ukraine's land. I wonder, during WW II, was the UK asked to concede any part of itself in order to secure peace? If Ukraine loses, THEY won't be the only ones to suffer in the long term. 🖖🙏

All this talk about Ukraine having to consider giving up some of their land is disgusting. The people of Vietnam and Afghanistan didn't toss in the towel. They fought hard and kicked out more powerful invaders. The people of Ukraine have that same courage and will overcome the illegal invasion and destruction of their country. The dithering, hand-wringing and waffle by the political elite of most NATO countries, does not inspire much confidence in that organisation's capacity to ever be able to defend Europe against invading armies.

Thank God Sean Bell didn't fight for Britain in World War II.

NASAM's are cheaper than Patriot interceptor SAM's and just as good, they use re-tasked AIM-120 AMRAAM's in SAM role. We need more NASAMS in Ukraine.

Only time will tell if the incursion into Kursk is a Battle of the Bulge or the Tet Offensive.

As an uneducated bystander, I see no progress by Russia in the Donbas region, but I do see progress of Ukraine in Russia's Kursk region, and an uptick in the morale of Ukrainians. That counts - it is Ukraine's spirit and will to be free from their oppressors that matters more than Russian propaganda! Slava Ukraini!
