So many comedies, even the really good ones, have their handful of lines/gags that are duds that don’t land, but EVERYTHING works in Dumb and Dumber. Each “laugh line” and sight gag is actually funny. The perfect dumb yet somehow smartly written comedy.

I went for years and years unable to remember what movie this line was from because I was too scared to Google the punch line. Much less bring it up to another human! Like, at least half a decade. Today I bravely typed 'movie quote schoolboy' and prayed. Top result. Mystery solved. And a great excuse to watch the movie for the first time in, well, at least half a decade.

Here's a nice true story for all of you guys reading these comments. A few years ago, I was shadowing at the high school I go to now, all that fun stuff, and I was shadowing my brother. His day was pretty boring until we got to his psychology class. And I'll never forget this. Now this teacher decided to take about "stressors." Now in his powerpoint, he included this clip. Once it was over, he said the following: "Now this is the perfect example of a stressor, he prepares himself the whole movie to confess his feelings to her. You see him practicing and practicing, and when he finally came face to face with that stressor, instead of confessing his feelings, he says he wants to do something which is illegal in all but 13 states. 14 if you include Louisiana."

That's when I was sold on going to the high school.

i was about 5 or 6 and i had just watched this film even though i wasnt allowed to. i started quoting alot of stuff from the film that i didnt know the meaning of. a week or so after watching this i was playing chess with my mother and said " i want to make love to a schoolboy"
