Huge Octopus Fits Inside Tiny Hole on Boat

I was a diver at the Seattle Aquarium for 22 years and my first job there was 'Giant Pacific Octopus Wrangler, ' meaning we weighed the octo in our exhibit every Saturday and it was my job to get into the tank and manhandle 80 pounds of pissed-off incredibly smart Jell-O into a Rubbermaid trash can so we could pick it up with a crane and weigh it.
Crazy job...
Anyway, an octopus can fit through any hole its beak can go, meaning an 80 pound octopus can fit through a hole the size of a 50 cent piece. The hole in the video was easy-peasy.
Thought maybe somebody might like my story. :-)

Btw octopus doesn't have bones in their body. Bones are made of calcium while their beaks are made from the same material as our fingernails also known as keratin.

I find them to be the most fascinating creatures. And I really believe looking into the makeup of how their beaks integrate into their bodies will give us better ideas for developing prosthetics.

As long as their eyeball fits through a space, their body can too. Their eyeballs are the ONLY part on them that don’t “bend”. I LOVE watching octopuses. 🐙 💙 So intelligent

I love these little life forms. They amaze the hell out of me. Changing their appearance not only in color, but they can structure their bodies to blend in with the reef or ocean bottom. Their ability to overcome locks and lids etc, is phenomenal. I wish there was a way to test their intelligence into numbers.

I swear these creatures are beyond alien that thing was about five times bigger than that whole squeezed through but it's still was able to escape from it that is insanely amazing as an adaptation
