There was a guy in residence at university who smelled so bad, everyone talked about it behind his back. He really did smell that bad, underarm stench. One night I got up the nerve to talk to him personally about it, I had a few drinks and brought it up. He didn't realize it was bad he said and went to the dr. He was wearing deodorant so he wasn't sure why it would still smell. He came to me a week later and thanked me, he had some issue where only a certain deodorant would work. It might be the bacteria thing in the hairs I forget but he didn't smell anymore and people stopped talking about it behind his back. ❤

I shower at night before bed because I don’t want my sheets or pillows to smell. And it helps keep me cool at night. And I don’t want my husband near me if I’m not clean from the day. But I will shower briefly again the next morning because I want to feel fresh and awake, but it does make it easier to do my hair too.

Borax dissolved in hot water and added to the wash, or lysol laudry disinfectant...
Giving all our clothes and aocks and towels and sheets and blankets a good soak before every washing. Turned out it wasnt my family, it was all our fabric needing a good thorough deep clean!
EDIT:
Omg....a plumber came to replace our hot water tank, which was getting corroded, and he told me afterwards "did you know your main water valve was barely on? I had to turn it to open it up and fill the new tank, I hope you don't mind"
When we bought our home a few years ago, the main valve was finicky, and we left it where the previous owner had it...
It turns our water pressure was insanely low, and our high efficiency washer was getting probably HALF the water it needed!
I doubt I will need to do borax soaks or laundry disinfectant monthly anymore. Holy moly! I can't believe that was the problem!

Mental health is so important 😊 and i know that because i too struggle myself thinking everyday "man my mom can't move she is completely immobile. What I'm gonna do now that she is bedridden ?😢". Bathing and changing is important 😊 so please do them but not for others, but for yourself and only for yourself ❤. Loving yourself is the first big step towards everything in life. Thanks Doctor Andrea 😊❤.

I used to sweat a lot and have a strong odor under armpits. It got worst when I was at a job which boss was screaming at me and verbally abusive everyday all day (I worked there 3 months). So I sweated and stink because it was my anxiety. I used Perspirex, it's a roll-on antiperspirant, and it worked! I also washed by hand my bras and shirts and coats with pure coconut soap, letting it in the sun for some minutes with the coconut soap rubbed there under armpits, sometimes with a little bit of sodium bicarbonate. And then I washed rubbing it on my hands (in Brazil we have a type of sink only to the laudry area, it's called tanque de roupas 😅 I know that it doesn't exists in many countries). I washed it there, yes, one by one.... And let in the high sun again.
I also used a cotton with a little of hydrogen peroxide (for wounds and not in the same night I applied the antiperspirant treatment deodorant).
And of course my mental health treatment helped a lot. But all worked! I still sweat, Brazil is hot. And I can stink a little if I don't use the deodorant (Herbíssimo in cream ❤️), but is so much less! I feel healed! Sorry for the long comment!

Using your tips from previous videos has helped me immensely handle the hot humid Florida summers. I now use the Benzoyl peroxide or Hibiclens wash, and apply the antiperspirant after my nightly shower instead of the next morning. Game Changer (plus I got to cancel my overpriced Lume subscription).

My feet and armpits sweat excessively when I was in my teens and younger twenties. It has gotten so much better as I've aged.

I have been using benzoyl Peroxide cleanser for my armpits after I saw one of your videos, and It really works! I started using it on my feet too, and I had no foot odor after a hot and muggy day at work.😊

Using antibacterial soap in my armpits caused a massive yeast infection that took months to cure. My dermatologist said the antibacterial soap kills off the good and the bad weaker stuff in the area, allowing the strong bad stuff to take over. She has seen other cases in the past. It’s important to not throw off the balance

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s at 19.
Had hyperhidrosis…
It was devastating; but now I don’t have that problem I have hypothyroidism just had blood work done and he said my thyroid is perfect🎉

My body seems to be at peace now I hardly sweat ever

FYI: I noticed sugar consumption makes me smell…

Can you do a video on stress sweat? I think it’s different the regular sweating?

I incorporated witch hazel in my wash routine and I can tell a difference. I didn't stink, it's been up in the 90's and 100's in North Carolina. I wanted to try something to prevent me from having an odor and the witch hazel is working very well. It's like $5 on Amazon or any drug store. I have the non alcohol brand. Great topic Dr Dray

Your Panoxyl recommendation has been an amazing game changer! Thank you for the insight bc I truly needed help with properly cleaning my underarms and eliminating sweat & deodorant residue (B.O.). For over a year now, I’ve switched between 4 % & 5 % with no irritation so I’ve kept it there! Thx❤

I have been using your Panoxyl trick under the arms and breasts (I sweat there) and it has been amazing. I use it every other shower and I no longer have body odor. I’m so grateful! I’m glad you mentioned moisturizing the under arms because I was already doing that (soak and smear!) and I was worried the moisturizer would block my armpit glands.

I use benzoyl peroxide for 2-3min and then soap in the shower every day, I use deodorant twice a day, I soak my shirts and bras in Oxiclean for 12-24 hours before washing in enzyme detergent, and my scrub tops (work clothes) get the soak PLUS a wash in special activewear enzyme detergent PLUS a second wash in regular enzyme detergent. I switched to a cream deodorant that washes off my skin and out of my clothes instead of trapping odor like waxy formulas did. I'm vegetarian and I rarely drink. I'm still stinky fairly often, especially when I work up a sweat in my synthetic fiber scrubs. However, every single thing I've listed here has helped, and when I skip even one step, I notice that my body odor gets really bad again.

The only thing I won't do is go back to antiperspirant. I switched to an AHA deodorant without antiperspirant a couple years ago and my hydradentis supparativa completely went away in my underarms. I think that letting my sweat glands "breathe" and the exfoliation are responsible!

Dr. Dray you are the best ❤! I used to wear deodorant and I was always stinky by the end of the day. Now I use the Panoxyl wash and use a fragrance free antiperspirant from Arm and hammer which is like $3-4. No smell or irritation.
