OBGYN's sometimes do a whiff test to detect certain infections, and so do dentist. They use a very small stick like thing and once it's put down in the tooth hole they stick it in there and smell it. ewww

I've been having a difficult time that when ppl get around me they always but ALWAYS sniff their nose when they get near me I really can't smell how I smell but ppl get really bothered alot and my friend has told me I smell bad and I've had this situation over 6 months and I've been to the doctors several times and have prescribed me the sinus rinse and it didn't work and I really can't find out why I smell like this can someone plz help me

Left out the one that makes you smell like cat pee. Apparently this is due to protein breakdown resulting in ammonia drinking a little Apple cider vinegar seems to help

A long time ago, I had a female coworker that had the 1st disorder and smelled like rotten fish. Everybody treated no different than anyone else. We all knew it was a disorder and not her fault.

I struggle with an odor problem. My odor is so strong that everyone in a room can notice, and they sneeze, cough.I've started to isolate myself from others .I feel super shy. I'm preparing for university exam, and I'm very stressful. Im glad to see there are more educational videos on TMAU. I hope people can understand that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with hygiene it is a metabolic disorder that can only be managed but there is no cure unfortunately. So if you happen to run into someone that smells like rotten fish, trash/dumpster, flatulence, or fecal matter and they seem clean; dont be mean just go about your day, im sure they already have a very hard time living with it there is no need to add to their already difficult situation. I am 34 and now and for the last 2 months i have been smelling so bad that i am isolating myself from the rest of the world i have changed my soap and deodorant and prefumes nothing seems to be working my groin area sweats so fast that in 5 minutes time my whole clothing smells bad when I pass by someone they either cough or sneezed what can I do to stop that 😢😔😫😫
