*South Sudan has been on my list for a long time.* It has always intrigued me and made me want to see what it is like on the ground due to the recent history. I managed to get access to some areas of South Sudan that have rarely been covered. This is going to be an interesting trip to say the least. Thank you for joining me. I am curious, how familiar are you with South Sudan, the world's newest country, and its recent past? Let me know below and thanks for watching. Nick 🇸🇸

This is not a vlog anymore.
It is professional and independent journalism.
We need more of that.
The quality is beyond great.
Keep up the good work.

My heart goes out to the young man who is alone in the city without his family. In his eyes is the same pain I see in my own brother as he also is struggling with life. Breaks my heart and keeps me up at night. I wish I could see joy, and let that be my hope.

Nick, I am so grateful for you showing the world to people. You’re brave, smart and your ability to be empathetic while conveying the scenarios is a strength. Be safe, brother. Brian in the US

While mainstream agencies re-share viral TikToks for profit, men like this are re-defining what actual journalism looks like.

I rarely comment on videos, however, your take on South Sudan is so well presented and genuine that I can’t say anything less than amazing work. It’s a very tragic setting, but you portray it objectively with respect for the locals, well done.

Nick, you're an incredible journalist, storyteller, and most of all, an incredible human being. Thanks for all the risks you're taking to bring us these series. Our problems all of a sudden seem so small.

My dad is from South Sudan the Nuer tribe, he is a lost boy. He walked 6 months to Uganda, just to escape the war, he left his family at the age of 14 and joined the army at 15, spent some years in Ethiopia and Uganda before coming to the US in 2001 at 18. He wants to go back though, even though its still dangerous. He misses his home

From Haiti to South Sudan: lawless countries, corrupt, extreme poverty. Despite all these hardships, people still try to smile and carry on. That's life. Thanks, Nick, for this video.

I've spent a whole year in Wau, South Sudan and it was the most exciting, beautiful, challenging and life changing experience in my life. I dedicated my time to street boys, trying to show them there is somebody who cares. Thank u for your documentary, it brought back so many memories. God bless South Sudan ❤
