I lived and taught in Yemen for 6 years (1989 - 1995) in Sanaa. Of course it was far more open and safe back then…this video brings back lots of memories

That boy at 6 minutes is awesome. His English is amazing and his dedication to his studies is nice to see. I hope he succeeds in every area of his life.

It should be acknowledged that this statement does not apply universally to every individual in every country, as there are always exceptions and variations. However, after observing numerous travel videos showcasing different cultures, places, and peoples, it becomes apparent to me that people, in general, share common desires for a decent and peaceful life with everyone. The majority of individuals are genuinely friendly and hospitable. The issues always seem to come from our leaders who seem determined to pit us against each other. Thank you for showing us a little glimpse into Yemen.

Im Scottish, now retired, i worked in a global communication industry, some 20 odd years ago i visited Sanna and although there were check points etc i never felt under threat. I met beautiful people in business, travelled into mountains in townships restraunts and the like. I've kept engaged in their circumstances and prayed for their safety and survival. They might be the last of their culture. I visited also many other countries in the region, non touched my heart so much. Something happens when you stand in the soil of different nations, it goes beyond our 5 senses.
Thank you, great work, love from Yorkshire England.

I am American and taught ESL English in Saudi in 2012 and my two Yemeni students were The Best in my class for they were mature, serious and took their studies 'to heart'- great young men!!

I run an engineering company in Malaysia and I'm proud to have hosted several Yemeni students as my engineering interns. Very nice and humble people.

Saw this video and cried. This is the most human thing possible: being resilient even in hard times. Smiling, hoping, dreaming… I hope these children and teenagers can have a peaceful country to live one day. This is a very beautiful country and what makes it even better is the people. Greetings from Brazil 🩷

The war in Yemen was not a civil war. It was Saudi Arabia fighting against the people of Yemen and causing the worst humanitarian crisis in the world. There is no need to twist the truth and protect the aggressor.

I was amazed at hearing the spoken English amongst the young folks; indeed well spoken English at that.

This is the first video I’ve come across of yours and already I’m hooked I love the way you speak so kindly about these beautiful people that the world is sheltered from but these are some of the most amazingly strong intelligent humble people you will ever meet they aren’t like you and I

I’m always looking for travel narrators who don’t just make it about themselves and are genuinely curious and empathetic. Jackpot!

This is gorgeous: I love all the detail, I love how hard you work to learn what it's like for people to live where they live, and you get so much detail in, while showing the broader environment: I keep having to pause and just look at hats, windows, markets, construction details, the towns in their environments. I'm not a traveler at all, I'm delighted to find someone who goes into this level of depth, particularly the human contact.

Seeing the kids smile and tell us who their favorite player was.
Priceless.

I live near Detroit Michigan, many of my neighbors are Yemenis. My housemate's best friend is from Yemen. I have the same experience with the childre, always outside playing. I noticed, not a single female in your video. I am not surprised.

When I lived in Saudi Arabia, I remember the Yemeni people as the kindest and most honest individuals.
Where people tried to take advantage from the Westerner left and right by overcharging, Yemeni's always set the fair price, and even refused if I wanted to pay more.
I hope one day to be able to visit Yemen.

Thank you for the video. I come from Poland and our knowledge of Yemen is very poor. Yet, it seems to be a country with rich and exciting culture and history. I would love to visit Yemen in times of peace, which I hope, will finally be reached.

Wonderful to watch this video. YES, such hope and resilience. When the name "Yemen" is mentioned on our TV screens, it is always in the context of war, famine, disease, misery. So it is uplifting to see another side of this ancient and fascinating place.

I think this is one of the most remarkable videos I've ever seen on YouTube. Thank you for the look inside of Yemen.
