In this tutorial I show how I knit my 2AAT Cuff Down Socks using magic loop. To make it easier to follow along with I split this step-by-step tutorial into 4 videos. The downloadable pattern is available at the end of this description box. There is ribbing down the leg of the sock and on the top side of the foot.

This tutorial is split into 4 videos:
• Video 1: Materials and dividing yarn for two-at-a-time socks
• Video 2: Casting on two-at-a-time cuff down socks and working magic loop
• Video 3: Heel flap and turn for two-at-a-time top down socks
• Video 4: Toe decreases and kitchener stitch for two-at-a-time socks

Check out my other crafting tutorials and patterns on my website!

Materials Used:
• 1 Skein fingering weight sock yarn - shown in the Mermaid Toots colorway by Cat Sandwich Fibers
• 2 stitch markers (additional 2 are optional)
• Tapestry needle

This is absolutely the best video series about 2AAT socks I’ve ever watched. Thank you so much for making it! I feel freed from the dreaded second sock syndrome now! I’m using this series to adapt a DPN toe sock pattern, I’m hoping it will provide enough knowledge so I can figure out how to continue using the circs for the individual toes. Wish me luck!

Thank you! Whatever figured out how to rearrange the stitches back to being even on the back and front of the sock after the gusset decreases, must be a genius. I tried and tried to figure it out on my own and failed. Your video is just what I needed.

Thanks for this video. I am taking a class and the instructions in that pattern for the heel were SO confusing. After watching this several times I got thru it!!!

I just finished viewing your tutorial for the first time. I'm familiar with knitting socks with a heel flat, etc., but I've never tried with (2aat) until this, my most recent project. I've viewed a few other tutorials from my favorite knitters, but they usually end up doing one sock at a time when they get to the heel turn or even at the flap. So, I was very excited to see your particular technique and I was even more excited to find that you explained it very clearly and your camera always pointed right where it needed to be! What a pleasant relief. Thank you very, very much. Now I can continue!

Thank you so much! I just join a knitting group on Facebook where people knit socks in multiples (up to 12 so far in there!). This was super helpful to learn to knit 2AAT! Currently working on my first 2AAT (just finished the heal turn) which is actually my second pair of socks (first were 1AAT). Socks were my first knitting project ever too!

Thank you!! I've always struggled with TAAT on magic loop and most times I have transferred to DPNs for the heel and I dont like that at all. This is really helpful. Thank you so much!!
