Haas VF-2SS & HRC210 Demo

Показать описание

This demo was designed to show off the higher spindle speed and rapids of the VF-2SS and the quickness of the HRC210. When combined with strong workholding and modern milling methods, the results are very impressive. The VF-2SS is one of Haas' most popular vertical machining centers. This is the video debut of the HRC210 roller cam rotary, and it is shaping up to be a great complement to the Haas product line. You can also see in-process probing for part location and feature inspection using the Haas WIPS system.

Now skip the first setup and put your raw stock in a lang vice!

Wonderful combo, haas and multi axis. Enjoy working on my vf5 + trt210 every day!

Not sure if that was done with intention, but all HASS maching milling sounds are in tune with background music :D COOL

Wow.  Indexing time on that rotary is insane.  Using Renishaw for inspection / setting rotary shift as well? impressive.  Gotta love Raptor Workholding too.  Nicely done.

Hey thanks for coming out with great video very helpful! Can you make a video on how your techs install and zero a 4th axis and tail stock in mill, using Haas procedures?

At 2:28 in the video, I see the original extruded surface, which means you put that ruff surface down on the vice when you cut the other end. Not good practice, you should have used the the opposite end to mill the original extruded surface flat. Then put the milled flat surface in the vice, unless I'm missing although at 2:00 it looks like you put it in there to mill that extruded face, but then the next shot the part is 180 from that view. I tried selling the owner of the company I work for on one of these but he ended up getting a Mazak instead.
why do I here people saying haas is not a rigid machine and it will be a throw away in 10 years time?
I personally love the website with pricing all there to see and have ran haas in the past and though they were decent.
Seeing videos like this seems like it would be a great machine to own. Long term reliability would be the big question.
