Ran a couple of these quite a bit. I don't think anything can touch it's capabilities for the price. Just a wonderful control that is about as conversational as a Fanuc can get. Once you've ran a Haas control you won't want to go back to a straight Fanuc control. It's a lighter weight linear guide type machine but can still mill tough high alloy steels and also do hard milling. I've ran boxed way mills also that will walk away from a machine like this on heavy cuts but at a considerable larger amount of money.

It is just the best! we have a vf2ss and for over 10 years we have run it 80 hours per week. Its always running 100% crazy feeds and speeds. Crashed it multiple times but it just doesn't give up. Still holds tight tolerances

Bought our vf2 about 5 years ago we only run one shift 48 hours a week
It has milled about 3000 h13 dies in that time, and that only accounts for 25% of the time it's ran. these machines are awesome, have ran thousands of other parts for us ranging from hard milling h13 and m2, . Then m2, d2, S7, 4140, large blocks of 17-4. Is it 50hp ripping no but it's is a capable machine with adequate power for the projects you would want to do on this size machine

theres one thing that would be awesome in haas machines, to turn the coordinate system like in some other mashines. when the piece is not perfectly straight in the mashine

i like this maching but tha ability to turn off the door savety would be awesome. you cant even handjog with open doors, come on im not 5years old
