DIY Side Table (nightstand)

This is how I build a side table or nightstand. This is a great DIY side table idea or DIY nightstand. It's easy to build and doesn't take a lot of time. This type of table goes great in a living room as an end table, a bed room as a night stand, or many other places. They are great for adding farmhouse decor to your home. Great for adding an extra decor touch to any room with this side table. This can be a great diy night stand. A side table like this makes an excellent farmhouse night stand. Thx so much Matt for these videos. Wanted to point out to others fans that unless you need something right now, following the links and ordering thru Matt actually usually saves you money. Just have to wait a day or two.

On this build if you don’t dummy up the legs and just go by Matt’s measurements it won’t come out right. Unless you happen to rip 2x4s exactly the same as he does. So get a measurement like he did.

And after assembly I felt like my base was just a tad wobbly. And I could see that legs weren’t square. So I added an 11 and 1/2 runner on bottom and it really made it sturdy. I don’t think it takes from the look of the piece. I’ll post pics on here when I finish them.

I did it again my legs are 22 1/16 long equal I just got a miter saw. Thank the Lord) there still wobbling but I think i might just sand two of the legs.

Love this! What do you set your drill and Kreg jig at for pocket holes? I try the recommended settings for 2x material and never works!
