{HD for cute Hades ♥♥♥}

Hi guys! It's finally done! My version of the classic Greek myth of Hades and Persephone!
Disclaimer: I'm fully aware this is not the accurate version of the myth (in fact, it's far from it). I know Hades kidnaps Persephone, and there are many other details I didn't show / changed completely, so please keep that in mind ♥ One day I'd definitely love to do a more accurate version of it!

But from now, please enjoy the cuteness of these two ♥♥♥

**The character I used for Persephone is from the movie The Legend of Sirius!

STORY: Persephone is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter. The video starts with her birth and the other gods celebrating it. One of these gods is Hades, who falls in love with Persephone instantly (and viceversa). However, his brother Zeus does not approve and demands him to leave the party. Next day, Persephone is playing with flowers with her maids, two Potamoi, and she tells them about her crush with Hades. He later shows up and Persephone agrees to become his wife and live with him in the Underworld, but is shocked when she is discovered by her mother Demeter, who had been told by a Potamoi about the unexpected date. In the Underworld, Hades makes a lovely illusion for her in a place filled with flowers, as she is the goddess of flowers, but they are quickly interrumpted by Hermes, sent by Zeus to retrieve Persephone. At the end, the gods agree for her to spent half of the year with her parents and the other half with her lover. ♥

In the original story, Zeus wasn't mad at Hades for wanting Persephone as his bride, he actually helped and planned how hades would steal her behind demeters (persephones mother) back! He only realized that Demeter is causing an eternal deathly winter without Persephone when he saw that no humans were alive to worship him, note he doesn't care about the lives of humans, he just wanted humans to worship him. Then Zeus decided that Persephone would go to each of those who wanted her for 6 months, In the half of the year that Demeter has Persephone we have Summer and Spring, and the Half of the year when Hades has Persephone we have Autumn and Winter. :)

Are we just gonna ignore the fact hades god of the underworld was loyal af to his wife name me one story in the myths that he cheated on his wife while Zeus was up in the clouds getting it on with well everything

I really hate how Disney ruins the stories. The Hercules movie is extremely inaccurate, starting by making Hera his mother and making Hades the villain (just because he must rule the Underworld doesn’t mean he is bad), among other mistakes.

there's actually lots of variants of the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone, and it's only the most popular one that is where she's kidnapped. there's plenty of later variants where she goes willingly and that she knowingly eats the Pomegranate seeds to stay with her beloved thinking she'll be able to stay with him forever if she does (it's by Zeus and Demeter in that version where they ask her how many seeds she ate and make it into a quantative number of months). in every version, Persephone is given equal rule with Hades (unlike 99% of godly marriages) and she is so powerful, able to convince Hades of any viewpoint of her's such as in Orpheus and Eurydice where it's used for good (she often uses it in rage), that the Greeks would often call her Kore so as an additional protection of not inciting her wrath of "the chaos bringer" lmao. so though id love to see more of this kind of video, this version is also decently accurate! The Kidnapping then Loving Marriage/Rape/Loving Elopement of Persephone depends on the person and which version that person prefers. i for one love the "Loving Elopement", as i call it, the most, and thus i love this video's version!! this is such an adorable video and it's CRAZY well-done!! thank tou so much for sharing it with us, it's just so beautiful!!!

I wish that Disney would make a sequel telling this story. That Persephone helps Hades become a better person. (It will still be the same hades from the movie but the sequel will dive into more of the myths) and they slowly fall for each other. Hades and Zeus show they used to be really close til Hades had to be by himself and fell into jealousy. Persephone would help him feel wanted. Maybe he would make Persephone feel more free to be herself instead of a perfect little goddess. Also Hercules and Meg would be sent to go after her and we would get more of them together.
And of course Persephone would play with Cerberus

LOOK AT IT. LOOK AT HOW CUTE IT IS OMG! All of the masking and lighting and manips are PERFECT and the story is so well put together!
I personally loved the part at 1:34 when hades shoots the dead people away from her I'm just imaging him protecting her and being all "DON'T TOUCH MY WOMEN" XD

When I saw the thumbnail, I squealed in excitement. XD The Sea Prince and the Fire Child doesn't get nearly enough love and I'm always glad to see it used in crossovers. I liked how you used the "grown-up" version of Malta as Demeter. Those clips fit perfectly. And Malta and Hades are so cute together. :)
