Bought 16 Pro (256gb), comming from XR, its my first pro model, honestly I was expecting more from a Iphone Pro model flagship, I could easily use the regular 16 with no regrets and I think its more than enough for most people. Last time I checked the market for smartphones was 5 years ago and checking now seems like the regular phones and midrange androids are really better and the flagships have few new features.

I also switched from an iPhone 16 Pro to the regular iPhone 16. In the color of teal. I switched because the iPhone 16 Pro was too heavy for me, the screen was too big for me, and the cameras were too big so that my fingers would accidentally touch the camera all the time.
Now I'm happy. Even with the 60hz screen, which is actually not as bad as people think. Even with 60hz everything works smoothly.

I recently upgraded my iPhone 10 to the iPhone 16 Plus. It was more than I needed. After 3 weeks of my eldest daughter pleading with me to upgrade her iPhone 8 to a 16, I gave in, gave her my 16 Plus and I bought the 16 Pro Max. I’ve had that now for just under a month and I definitely prefer it to the 16 Plus. Yes, I know it’s heavier and more bulky. But I quite like that. You are more likely to notice if it slips out of your pocket. It actually feels like you’re holding something of substance, when using it. For a heavy user like myself, that extended battery performance is a Bonas. I was very pleasantly surprised with the trade in Apple offered on my iPhone 10 and my daughter’s iPhone 8. She is euphoric with that 16 Plus!

I’ve owned every Plus or Max iPhone since the iPhone 6. This year is the first time I’ve ever not purchased a Pro iPhone. I agree, for the first time ever I couldn’t justify paying more for a Pro model when the regular 16 has 90% of the Pro. I can see the difference between 60 Hz and 120 Hz, but after about a week of using the regular 16, I have not missed 120 Hz…not even once. Same thing with the smaller size. At first it felt tiny coming from a 15 pro Max, but after about two weeks I got used to it and now it doesn’t feel small at all. It feels perfectly fine and normal. I never once thought to myself that this phone is laggy or looks bad because it doesn’t have 120 Hz. I think 120 Hz is overrated and now that I’ve used a regular 16 for a couple of months I would never pay an extra $200-$400 just for that. This phone has an amazing camera, 2X zoom, great battery life, and all of the new software features of the Pro phone. I also don’t think I would ever buy a pro phone again and waste all that money for things that you don’t really need. The only way I would consider it is if Apple does something stupid again like continue to put last year’s chip in the newest base model iPhone.

I get what you're saying, but you are already spending a good amount of money for a device that you may or may not use for a few years. I'd rather spend the extra couple hundred and get those additional features that will make the experience that much better. I'd spend $200 alone just to have the 120hz display. I had the 12 Pro Max and loved it (just updated to the 16 Pro Max), but I remember my Mom got a 13 Pro and when I used it, it was so hard to go back to my 60hz screen!! I am loving my new phone. I have my Dad my 12 Pro Max to replaced his 8 Plus. He's super happy that he can now update past iOS 16.

I went from the iPhone 14 Pro to the iPhone 16 Plus and I have not regretted it at all. I never noticed the difference in the refresh rate with the 120hz. I love the ultramarine color on the 16 Plus.

I was so concerned with buying the regular this year because people kept saying 120hz and I tried it out with my friends phone (13 pro max) and after an extensive use it was mehh. It is not worth the extra money. You can definitely live without it. Going for the 16
