The only thing is Apple doesn’t AI generate new material, it replaces the effected area with colors or material from the existing image

Apple is using content-aware fill which borrows from surrounding pixels to remove and fill-in the targeted area.

Samsung is using generative AI to re-create the targeted area.

These 2 should not be considered the same thing as they are different technologies that have different intended use cases. They can be used similarly, but are not the same.
