Waitress asks if he needs a fork...little does she know he speaks fluent #Mandarin #Chinese ?!

The other day I went into a bunch of Chinese restaurants as an ordinary but kinda clueless white guy and ordered food in fluent Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese). It was a really fun prank and social experiment to see Chinese people’s reactions — both the waiters and the other patrons in these NYC Chinatown restaurants were totally shocked! I'll never forget my experience of this. went to a Vietnamese restaurant and the waitress brought everyone chopsticks except me. she brought me a fork (I'm black) 😂😂😂

To be fair, while they are assuming, it's quite kind and considerate on their part to deliver a different type of utensil to those who seem like they'd need it
