Grand master Bob? Watch out people, Bob's been putting in work. He got that look in his eyes. That stone cold killer look. So cold, it's like he can't show emotions or something.

Hey Shane I would like to thank you! I was constantly being bullied by a group of kids at school when I was in first year highschool (13 year old back then). I was small and timid, and didn't know how to defend myself. Every day, I would come home with bruises and scratches, and my confidence was at an all-time low.

One day, my older brother saw how much I was struggling and decided to help. He showed me a series of your videos on how to box, punch properly etc.. I would like to stand up for myself and fight back against my bullies. I was skeptical at first, but I was desperate for a solution, so I decided to watch your videos and give it a try.

Over the next few weeks, I practiced the techniques I had learned from your videos. I worked on my posture, my body language, my stance, my jabs and my verbal assertiveness. Slowly but surely, I began to feel more confident and self-assured.

One day, when the bullies were picking on me as usual, I decided I had had enough. I stood up for myself, using the techniques I had learned from you, and much to my surprise, the bullies backed off. They were taken aback by my newfound confidence, and they realized that I was no longer an easy target.

From that day on, I was able to stand up for myself whenever I was bullied. I became more self-assured and my confidence soared. And as I grew older and stronger, I became a leader among my peers, helping other kids to stand up for themselves and fight back against bullies.

Now, I'm 20 year old 3rd college and still watching your videos keep it up! Thank you for fighting for the underdogs!

For me, my 4 tips would be,

1: practice your entrance and exits. I took some punches to learn how to properly enter.
2: Always practice offense with defense. Whenever I would shadow box or hit the heavybag, I would practice my defenses. That way it was in my mind to do it. It made sparring easier.
3: Practicing kata. I never realized what you could do with it until I decided to make something up. It made me think what these moves mean together. Making up a kick boxing combo feels weird but good.
4: sleep. Get your sleep people. I've sometimes went to practice without getting much sleep, and I felt terrible.

Wow, Tip #2 machida's belly breathing was such as "Aha" moment for me.
Thanks for sharing!
Will play with this concept and consciously implement into my game and training.

Thank you for the content. I’m starting my Muay Thai journey in my mid life and training alone.
I took Taekwondo as a kid and made it to brown belt. But in all my years of that training, you had more info about tactics in this video alone.
They never taught us any of this. We just drilled techniques and sparred without coaching.
The fight theory and intelligence is everything and thank you for shedding light on this.

I always regretted not dedicating more time to my feints when I competed. My thought process was they never really worked on me so I labeled them useless. But over the years now that I’m a spectator more than a competitor I feel I could have had much much more success.
As always great video! Keep ‘em coming.

Good tips. Trying to spice up my sparring and also figure a game plan for this taller experienced guy at my gym. Trouble is retaining all of it and bringing it to class.

Bob looks very strong but also resilent and peaceful, he will take the punches all day and remains your best friend.
