I want to thank you for your incredible wealth of information Dr. Bri. I am a professional clarinetist and play chamber and orchestral music. I prolapsed my bladder about 6 years ago. It was absolutely horrible! Your videos helped me to recover. However the underlying problem was that when I was blowing air through my instrument, the air pressure was not going up and out, because I had a severe SI joint dysfunction which was misdiagnosed for years and years after I sprained my pelvis giving birth to my second child who is now 28. Finally, after having spent the last 6 years trying to heal what I felt going on before the prolapse, having spent more than $15, 000 in physical therapy to no avail, I discovered a new practitioner who correctly diagnosed me with SI joint dysfunction. Because of the air pressure from playing my instrument, over those years my entire body Twisted to the point where I lost my core strength and use of my diaphragmatic support, and I was unable to take a deep breath. My whole body had twisted to the left and my ribs had severely distorted and I literally had become disabled. Long story short, I have spent the last 6 years gradually working on correcting my SI joint dysfunction and I am now totally better! I am playing the way that I have trained after 57 years of playing my instrument! Another factor in my misalignment, was a severe ankle sprain on my left ankle which Tilted out in the injury, and I started leaning my ankle in, which skeweded my alignment before having my second child. I think that was the root cause of my SI joint injury.

One important aspect I will add to my recovery, was using a serola belt-(Si joint belt) to stabilize my SI joint and keep it from opening when I am blowing pressurized air into my instrument. It helps keep the air going the right way . I still need it when I play the clarinet because it helps me to use my diaphragmatic and core support the way that I need to to play my best.

My PT told me to pick things up from the floor with a lunge position (rather than deep squat or bend at the waist) and I’ve totally been doing this when I’m going from low lunge to standing again. It’s my biggest trigger for pressure (aside from carrying my toddler and evening runs). Thank you for this!

This information was so helpful to me! Also, I don’t understand why you don’t have a higher view count with such a large subscription base? Are you being throttled? So glad you are online now.

Dr. Bri, why did you take down your ab camp? I've done that after 4 pregnancies and was hoping to go through it again after this one! I really appreciate how much you've helped me rehab my abs!

One day I had stabbing pain in my left vulva, than I visited a obgyn and she did all the test and my urine culture was positive with E.coli . During 1 month of UTI i suffered with vulva pain, mons pubis pain, pelvic pain, groin pain, stretching in vulva, pain in vulva and discomfort during moving legs, experiencd extremely sensitive vulva even touching leads to pain etc .. after recovering from UTI my every symptoms were almost gone except for Little pain in vulva and groin pain . I have a urine leakage problem since my childhood during sneezing or coughing now a days it's on peak a little sneezing cause a lot of urine leakage, I have on and off constipation since 2 years (now a days I m regularly constipated even after taking stool softener), I have frequency of urine since many years (I drink lots of water), I have sneezing problem due to allergy since 10 years . Is it related to pelvic floor dysfunction? Which exercise of yours should I do because finding a good pelvis floor physiotherapist in my state is not possible. I have discbulg history too. I m 24 and never had intercourse.

When inhaling, is there supposed to be a pushing down feeling?

Omg wow. I experience the pushing down in my daily life! It's what led me to seeking help for my pelvic health. How do I stop doing that? It seems unconscious. I have been working on doing things at my pace and not overdoing it for so long. How is this still here 🥴
