On question 8 how did you get the 43.5? I can not figure out how you got it thank you

for question 4 how do you know when to add or subtract? for the final answer does it matter in what order you place the answer?

What in the world is going on with question 4? 😝😭 When you re-write it, the +8xy changes to -8xy. Is that right? Also, when the question first starts, there is no +8 among the original answer options. My first answer before skipping ahead was 12x + 5xy + 8
but I wasn’t seeing +8 as an option.
Am I wrong? Thank you!! 😎
