Sometime when you have yo old lady on there you don’t want nobody to see the truck rocking as well 😂

Dude, as a driver for 16 years, you nailed it on all 3 reasons!!!💯😎

As a retired otr driver. Less noise, more privacy. No one's headlights shining thru the windshield. Less chance of the newbie knocking the front end off trying to back in beside you.

PLUS.. THE SECURITY OF YOUR LOAD..
NO ONE IS BREAKING THE SEAL TO POTENTIALLY STEAL ANY OF YOUR LOAD.

I haul reefer 90% of the time...your reasons are correct. Generally the unspoken code is reefers try to park next to each other.

Trucking 35 years, I do that only when Im 100% sure I can make it out the same way I came in, not all spot are easy in and out, your statement is 100% on spot.

I sometimes park nose in when I'm really tired. I feel like my odds are better at not having an incident backing out when I'm fresh rather than backing in when I'm tired.

All those reasons are correct and sometimes you just don't feel like backing in 😁

22 yrs in this game and I never thought of it any other way than they couldn't back very well. Thank you Sir!

I got soo much respect for them truckers. Never get in the way, give them space, you never know if it’s a rookie or pro so just get out the way or wait.

I've been trucking 40 years.

About 11 years ago, I started with a company that have diesel powered apus. I started nosing in so my apu wouldn't bother other drivers - it bugs the heck out of me when someone does it to me, as well as the exhaust blowing under my truck (I also parked with the exhaust downwind from the truck).

I've lost track of the number of drivers that have backed into my trailer - at least once a month!

If I'm laid over a weekend, I like finding a spot in the back that overlooks nature, wither a meadow or forest. Very relaxing!

This is called the “Omg an open spot, I’ll figure out how to get out of it once I come back to life. 😴😴😴”

i nose in because i had my headlights and bumper crushed by a novice driver backing. three times

You are spot on with your explanations except one thing.
Some driver can't back very well

For me it was putting the sun behind me and keeping the cab cooler.

I do it when I'm in a area that trailers get broken into alot, when you back in no one can see if someone is cutting your locks

I remember many years ago when I was first running solo, I finally mustered up the courage to back between two rigs at the Pilot in Dunnigan, Ca (a frequent and favorite stop of mine).

I set up, backed in just perfect and was all kinds of proud of myself, shut the truck off… and it sounded like my truck was still running, I was sandwiched between two running reefers…

I pulled out, turned around and nosed in, I wasn’t about to try to drown out two reefers 😂🤣

i heard reefer and thought “man this is the job for meee” and then i realized he meant like a refrigerated trailer

Shiiiid I nose in when I'm super tired and lazy....As long as I can back out pretty easy when I get up.
