"GUARANTEED Pass Your Road Test "First Time" + the Defensive & Winter Driving Smart Courses

Almost every driver's test has parallel parking. Yes, you can use your backup camera, but for the most part you should be looking out the back window. And when you get into the space, apply the parking brake. Develop the habit of applying the parking brake every time you park the vehicle. That way, the vehicle will be where you left it when you return.

Good luck on your road test.

Got my license this morning, and first thing in my exam was a parallel park. Got it first try but during my lessons, I had issues so I understand the nervousness.

The new cars have terrible visibility out the back window. That’s why they have backup cameras.

Rear windows are so small, thats what the cameras are for in today’s cars. I’ve used a rear camera vehicle for 10+ years and it never failed or slowed.

Taking my test tomorrow. My car does not have a back-up camera and I can parallel park it just fine but my mother's Jeep has an automatic and better visibility so it'll be a breeze. Sitting up high with a clear view around me is going to be awesome. Since the top is removable, there is not much of a blindspot because the windows are large.

I use my blind spots, rearview mirror and side mirror to parralel park. Especially the side window.

Kudos. Someone actually being taught how to drive a car and not let the electronics do everything for them.

Video won’t load. But quick tip. Pull up sir your back wheels are parallel with the vehicle in front’s rear wheels. Or the cone for a test. Cut the wheel all the way and reverse. Ease off the turn gradually until you’re as far back in the space as you can go. Shift into drive, center yourself in the parking space, and straighten wheels.

We were out this last weekend camping and "invented" backup camera racing. Black out the side mirrors and rear Windows. Made an obstacle course. It was a blast. I live in the country. We got freedom

I always look at backup camera. Everytime I look out window or mirror I'm on the curb camera helps a lot especially with the lines

i understand the reason you can’t use the backup camera is because not every car has one and all that but it’s so helpful, i don’t think i’ve ever not used it while parking in general besides my test.

Try getting your test with a standard and parking on a hill

This is awesome but i have a very interesting question, When you are done backing up and your in that position do you keep moving back and move forward and straighten your wheels?

Quiz people on which way to turn the wheel when parking on a hill...even a parking brake can fail.

Ig the only state that doesn’t make you parallel park is Florida
