I'm personally waiting for Lighter leaks to come out to help me make my choice.
Once I know his kit, I'll pick up whichever of Caesar or Burnice will work best with him.
Caesar is obviously a more universal support but If Lighter ends up wanting to have 100% burn uptime on the enemy then I'll go for Burnice

I never even thought to put a different class's W-Engine on Caesar just for the Impact. Weirdly enough, that makes builder her even easier, since the best A-rank option for purely impact is actually the Demara Battery Mark II. It has the highest base attack and impact of the A-ranks. You sacrifice 1% of conditional impact compared to Original Transmorpher, but gain 100% uptime, higher base attack, and no need to P5 it.

I think f2p and low spenders should skip a dps character like jane for a stun/support character like ceaser as the later is better in terms of versatility and longevity.
Jane can be powercrept anytime by another anomaly dps or a phys attacker but even if there is a stun char who has better stun and dmg multi than ceaser, she can still be used as a support which makes her very future proof.
That being said, I totally get your pov tho. You already have 2 good teams and don't necessarily need an upgrade. So skipping ceaser for burnice might be the best choice here

But didn't you say f2p/low spenders should skip Caesar like 3-4 videos ago? I planned on going for her anyway just seeing how much a high QoL and long term pick up she would be, but just curious for what changed

Your argument for not trying to pull doesn't really make sense. Assuming you want the unit, it doesn't matter if you only have enough for the 50/50 attempt, because if you fail, that progress still carries over to the next banner you'd want a character on anyways, you'll have guaranteed next time. So really you're just delaying when you attempt your 50/50, and denying yourself even the chance to pull Caesar in this case.
And especially if a banner has boosted A-Ranks you want, it's extra useful to be doing pulls into it to try and get cinema unlocks.

It does feel a bit ironic how in your Qingyi video you were talking about "horizontal investment" when justifying not pulling for Qingyi because you have Anby, yet you still ended up pulling for Jane Doe even though you have a level 50 Piper, her W Engine and Nekomata.

I really believe Caesar will be a "future" character. She is extremely good, and works on most teams, but we still don't know for sure in which teams she will be a *replacement*. I think this is an annoyance I have with the hype around her right now. She likely will not be the best pick for Jane Doe, both for her physical anomaly and disorder teams with Burnice, nor will she replace anyone in Zhu Yuan's team. It looks like as of right now, the main characters that will benefit from her most are Ellen (possibly), Soldier 11, Corin, and Billy.

She seems like a very good "generalist" and will likely be a fantastic QOL character than can take a slot in most teams if you are missing a given dedicated support/ stunner. However, I am not convinced she will be outright BETTER than the specialized alternatives for some of our meta teams.

I feel like this consideration for *who* you have on your account and which characters will actually benefit from her the most, is really important, and not enough people are having it about her pre release.

Didnt get rat lady because I've wanted Caesar since I saw her in beginning trailer with all the different factions. Literally all the amazing stuff that come with her is just an added bonus. Plus I feel like Piper is a fine enough physical anomaly character.

For game purposes i have ellen and like to play ellen more, caesar will be very helpful for me since i have no lycon

That said, the waifus of calydon are a must pull for me cause the pull value of them is happiness from design alone 😄

It’s physically impossible for me to skip Caesar. AFTER I pull her, then it will be possible for me to calm down and be more selective for who I pull for in the future. I’m new to gachas and have been playing ZZZ for less than 2 weeks so I have a lot to learn, but at least if I have Caesar, I can get by. I have to imagine I’ll be skipping Burnice which sucks, but the more I learn about the game and gachas in general, the more I realize I’m not going to be able to pull everyone unless I’m a whale. I’m still grinding a bunch of things that have been in the game at launch, but as soon as all the launch rewards dry up, I imagine I’ll fully appreciate how hard polychromes will be to come by.

i suspect with ever increasing conviction that hoyo is testing the effect of every enticement on the player base.

you had to get zhu yuan because she was the most f2p friendly one, just get her and everyone already has the rest of her team.
with jane doe they pushed the limits of degeneracy, like how hot can a character possibly get!? headphones recommended indeed.
and now caesar is the most op stun/buff/debuff/shield character appealing to min-maxers.

they're literally testing which method is most effective in baiting people to pull.
