I love Aerosmith acknowledging Dana Carvey's drumming skills.

I'm 52 years old, when this came out in 1990, I was 21 years old. Imagine how FUN it was to watch SNL for us. No social media. No watch-on-demand. It came on at 11, and you were there along with every other kid watching this in real time. No propaganda, no "message", just fun, funny, rocking fun. I feel so blessed to have come of age when I did, and I likewise feel bad that my kids aren't getting anywhere near the same experience (especially with SNL, which is not the same show it was).

Tom Hanks AND Aerosmith— this is one of the top SNL skits of all time.

The best part was Tom Hanks’ total, ongoing dedication to his roadie role.

Came here from listening to Mike Meyers on Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend, and apparently Mike cried after this sketch because he thought it hadn't gone well, and I think you can see it in his face during the performance - he can't even look at Steven Tyler while they're singing together because he's worrying so much that he's ruining the show, even though the crowd was loving it. It's always both scary and reassuring to be reminded that even the stars have impostor syndrome. Also, I love this Tom Hanks character.

It seriously still blows my mind that that’s actually Dana on drums. He’s very much worthy

Love how Joe Perry turned around to watch Dana playing drums at the end, as if to say "wow he's rocking out". Then Steve watched

I love how wholesome the interaction between the band and Wayne's World is.

Everything I know about a roadie, I learned it right here from Tom Hanks.

This is one of the best SNL skits. What a talented group all together. It’s so cool Aerosmith did this. Tom Hanks was the icing on the cake.

I would not have known that was Tom Hanks unless the camera zoomed in

Cool how Aerosmith can turn Mike Myers' "Wayne's World" theme into an actual song.

Best part is at 9:01 when the four band members looked back at Dana with instant respect

Ah, truly a classic era of music. Whenn real men dressed like Atlantic City grandmothers.

How could Mike have been stressed about this sketch possibly bombing?

This is hysterical, most excellent indeed!
