The reason why there is no security tape on the outside is because you can choose which band you want paired with your device when you order directly from Apple. Because of this variety they need to be able to put the boxes together for the different combos.

I think the reason that the packaging is like that is because at the store you can customize the bands with the watch so it allows for easier customization because the band package is easier to swap out

Managed to get my hands on a 45mm today. Love the midnight color, the bigger screen/size (I was at 40mm), and the tiny keyboard! Didn’t realize how good the keyboard would actually be

The faster charging is really remarkable on a small device like this. I had my Series 7 die while I was sleeping last night so when I woke up around 7 am EST, I immediately put it on the puck charger plugged into a 30W brick, and in about an hour it was fully charged. I was very pleasantly surprised it would fully charge that quick.

Got my 45MM starlight watch! Love it so much, the keyboard swipe thing is so cool once you get used to it! I don’t see myself upgrading my watch for at least 2/3 years! I hope I can keep it pristine. The starlight looks and feels so luxurious!

There’s no plastic because of the customisation options for the watch. The packaging helps when it comes to sliding out the inserts and replacing it with whatever band the customer orders.
