We wont even be able to distinguish what is real and what is not.

90s is the last of true happiness that kids and adults had. Most of us didn't own a handphone. And it was rare to see one. It was only pager and we call people by landline. And the internet was nothing like how it is now. We used to run around playing all day with neighbours and kids from the block. We didn't have to close our doors coz our neighbours were like family members too. But now the kids aren't even like kids anymore. Primary school kids asking for skincare for christmas gifts?! Babies having issues with sensory motor skills due to constantly staring at the screen all day. Generations are going backwards in IQ as well. I feel sorry for the future generations.

My father fell victim to these scams. It was what tore my parents apart as my father would cheat on my mom because he was trying to find a woman who looked exactly like this. It wasn't as high level now, as during that time, it wasn't so extreme, but i think if i were to go back and observe him right now, he'd be too absorbed in this world of catfishers.

People who fall for these lies were already losing to begin with. Paying to look at someone attractive over the internet is already a problem. Getting upset that they're not truly getting what they want isn't really the problem

We know its all staged, and fake. Yet, people still spending money and time to watch it. I bet nobody feel lied to when they watch that. Because they already know, its just a form of entertainment. Just my two cents.

I was so in despair when I thought I'm ugly and other girls are beautiful (which I saw on some videos) but then I found they do filters or either make ups or plastic surgery

I guess the way I see it is, the Audience is fully aware there are filters. They may not know to what extent. But I don't really see them as victims per se. They are sending gifts to a livestream personality. they are not promised a hand in marriage if they send a certain amount of cash. I see this as a two way street. The personalities are trying to make money. the 'victims' most likely get a shout out.
