Having lived on a mountainous island, I've seen this phenomenon with the shadow man in the sky, sometimes when people are out walking during a lightning storm or even some warm but wet days or nights and the light is distorted by mist or cloud or lightning and the people shadows look huge, and massive depending on the direction of the light source.

Years ago when "The Exorcist" was first released on film, my small hometown would not allow the film to be played in our theaters. The town officials considered it blasphemous. I had already read the novel & it was terrifying. My brother & two of our friends traveled 90 miles to a larger town that DID allow the film to be shown in their theaters. The film was beyond creepy as well.. Over time, I've thought about the film. I felt that the Mom's failure to expose or teach the girl anything about faith (of ANY kind) left the girl extremely vulnerable & open to evil. Faith & learning about Christ instills strength of spirit into children plus helps form character. It is not necessary to be fanatical. No exposure to self proclaimed prophets is required! Tiny seedlings of faith can grow across the pages of our lifetime. The child may pull away from faith as they reach young adulthood, but the seeds remain there inside them. It will echo & whisper to their spirit. The seeds of faith you cultivate in children will never die even if they choose to pull away. As an adult, the choice is their own. Faith is our only strength & protection.

It's not a doll. It's a clown marionette (a string puppet). It would take VERY little effort to run another string, or fishing line, etc. Through a tiny nail hole in the wall to the next room and make the puppet jump like an old fraug.
