I have been homeschooling my son on math. I bought the same book (Algebra and Trigonometry) and the solution manual few months ago. It fills some of the gaps. He learned Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry using the 20 Minutes books (easiest for kids) and NY Regent books (practice).

For Calc I and II, I used Swokowski's "Calculus with Analytic Geometry" in college back in the early' 80's. Still have it...

Just bought this Swokowski book from Amazon India. I am 57 and has started reading Maths as hobby again and this book will be the book which I wish to solve before attempting Thomas Calculus.

Just ordered it, thanks! I took some math classes for my degree, and I'm almost done with the math classes. I'm finding I enjoy math more than I expected and have been doing math outside of school, been looking for some textbooks I can use to further explore the subject and get more practice.

Great recommendation 👍 I'm actually reviewing precalc and calc using the Larson's Precalculus textbook and Thomas' Calculus textbook. I used those books in college and it brings back good memories!

Hello MS!!! Thank you for reviewing another algebra and trig book. I had so much when I started learning algebra and trig. I just love those subjects so much even though I'm much further along im math but they're just so important. It is the foundation.

Omg, I wander what is the size of your bookcase😂. I mean I’ve watched a lot of your videos and I still cannot stop saying: “wow grate video indeed, and yet where the heck does he keep all of them…”

Hi, is there any difference between this book and the one named "Algebra and Trigonometry with Analytic Geometry" by the same author?

I am going to college next school year(this September) for software engineering. Can I use this book, or do I need a more advanced one?

I live In Chico CA. at one time . Interesting Cal. State Chico was considered the top party school in the U. S.

I also love old technical or science books, and use many for self-study. But I'd love to find some better books that have a freely available PDF version online, so that I can print a loose leaf version a section or two at a time as I work through the book, and be freely jotting my notes on the pages and also inserting my own worksheets. While I appreciate the history of finding a rare or vintage book, that has some significant notes or errata scribbled on the pages, in most cases I would rather leave the book pristine no matter how common it may be, I can't bring myself to deface the pages I'd much rather print a loose leaf version and create my own work folder.

I managed to find my old copy of that book. Cover is in shambles, but the pages are still intact.

Between this book vs Precalculus by Sheldon Axler vs Precalculus by Stitz & Zeager, which do you think is the best for self studying?
I have all of their pdf file but I'm confused which I should use as all of them are understandable.

It seems suspiciously similar, also in typographical appearance, to the Precalculus textbook by James Stewart, but the latter has far more content, as Sequences and Series, Vectors and Limits.

Just a coincidence?
